Ali Institute for Quranic Memorization, Ibadan has graduated the total of one hundred and fourteen (114) students in the memorization of the Quran.
The event which brought together Muslims scholars, parents and well wishers across the nation witnessed beautiful recitations of Quranic verses by the elegantly dressed graduating students who took their turns in the memorization to the admiration of their parents and all present.
Altogether, 67 males and 47 females graduated at the 4th AFIAT convocation which took place in Ibadan.
Speaking, the proprietor of the institute , Ali Temitope Abdulsalaam thanking Allah for witnessing the day, called on lslamic scholars to do more in the area of spiritual upliftment to help in getting rid of the decadents bedeviling the society.
“We need a lot of spiritual diet for our children of today because we have a lot of the tools of ‘saytan’ that surrounds these children that could lead them astray.
“That is why we started this institute so that students, the muslim youth can come and memorize the Quran as well as learn about the teachings of the Quran.”
.
This he said will help to serve as guidance in their day to day activities.
“The moral decadence actually starts from home If we parents can come together to give them the training they actually need to live the kind of life suited for everyone in the society, it will go a long way. Charity they say begins from home. If we are able to educate them in the way that is actually expected, the society will become better.
Alhamdulllah, l believe after witnessing the character and molding of children who have passed through this institute, l am sure no parent will say, “l regret sending my child here.” So, we wish them the best in their future endeavors.
AIT reports that the institute is advocating for more support to keep the place running.
Some of the graduants from the northern part of Nigeria expressing happiness for successfully completing their studies thanked the institute and their parents for such an opportunity to better their lives.
Gradunants:
“Here, in this institute, we memorize not just the Quran. There are many other things we are taught. We are taught moral and religious values. I believe if all our youth in Nigeria memorize the Quran, it will seriously reduce the crime rate in the society.”
“The school has taught me a lot of things like how to memorise the Quran and do things the proper way. And morally, how to respect your elders. That is the teachings in our institute.
