National Under 20 Female Handball Arrive Conakry For 28th Africa Women Junior Handball Championship<\/div>\n

The National Under 20 Female Handball team have arrived Conakry, Guinea for the 28 Africa Female Junior Handball Championship.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The National Junior Handball Female team left Nigeria through Muritala Mohammed Airport in Lagos on Thursday morning with\u00a0 the team leaving colourfully<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Head Coach, Coach Bukola Duru, talking to press men before leaving Lagos,\u00a0 said the team is ready and will make Nigeria proud in Guinea citing the time up friendlies games they had against Safety Babes who are the champions of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“We are ready and with the level of training they have been getting, we’ll ensure we make Nigeria proud by proving our doubting Thomases wrong” Coach Duro said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“The board of the Handball Federation of Nigeria really supported us in all aspect and I know we will reciprocate by doing well in the court and ensure we not just qualify for the World Championship but also win the cup’<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
” We had the experience of playing the defending champion of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League Safety Babes thrice and with the experience we have we can conquer Africa” Coach Duru concluded.<\/div>\n

The players also echoed what the coach said. Led by Captain Toyin Yusuf, the players said they are ready to win the cup’ for Nigeria.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“We are ready to win the cup’ and make Nigeria proud and with everything out coaches have put us through, we believe we are tactically and technically capable of doing well in the competition” Toyin said<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The delegation are led by Technical Representative of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Coach Bala Mohammed who highlighted the level of support of HFN to the team.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The National Under 20 Female team who have been training intensively at the indoor sport hall of the Aguiyi Ironsi Military Cantonment in Abuja, will play host Guinea, Algeria and Gambia in group B of the Biennial handball Championship which holds in Conakry, Guinea.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The championship will hold from the 19th to the 26th of February 2022 and Nigeria play the first match against Guinea<\/div>\n
