The residents of Okada in Edo state and environ and that of Municipal Council in Kano state have commended the activities of TUKUR & TUKUR FOUNDATION in the provision of free medical services to the less priviledged in the society.<\/div>\n

TUKUR & TUKUR FOUNDATION, is a non governmental organization whose humanitarian services have continued to put smiles on the faces of the needy.<\/div>\n

The Coordinator, TUKUR TUKUR FOUNDATION, Col. Haruna Idris Zaria retired tells us more about the foundation.<\/div>\n

“I will like to inform you that our medical outreach is not limited to Kaduna state alone . We visit other states too.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“My foundation is a charitable, non profitable organization founded in 1914 with the initiative of\u00a0 giving support, providing medical outreach and\u00a0 humanitarian services to the vulnerable in the society.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Col. Haruna while introducing his team in Okada, Edo state in his speech had commended the Vice Chancellor igbenedion university Okada, Prof. Lawrence Ikechwukwu\u00a0 Ezemonye for his good work which he said had been a driving force for his coming to Edo state.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

TUKUR TUKUR FOUNDATION’s medical experts in collaboration with the medical team of igbenedion university teaching hospital attended to large crowds of people who trooped into the premises for the free medical care.<\/div>\n

Hospital staff of the university had hectic time controlling\u00a0 the patients\u00a0 who came from within and outside Okada for the free medical exercise by TUKUR & TUKUR FOUNDATION.<\/div>\n

In their seperate remarks, the Vice Chancellor igbenedion University Okada Prof. Lawrence Ikechwukwu\u00a0 Ezemonye, and the Chief medical Director, igbenedion university teaching hospital, Prof. Godwin Bazuaye both appreciated the efforts of TUKUR & TUKUR FOUNDATION in their bids to bringing free medical services to the doorsteps of many Nigerians.<\/div>\n
They call on other Nigerians to emulate their footsteps.<\/div>\n

Similar free medical services was extended to communities in Kano Municipal area.<\/div>\n

Aside the free medical care was the distribution of adaptive tricycles.<\/div>\n
to persons with disabilities.<\/div>\n

Segir Yahaya 13yrs old and 15yrs old Awwal Ibrahim despite their disabilities still struggle to go to school even without wheelchair but TUKUR &TUKUR FOUNDATION humanitarian outreach has made it easy for them as they are amongst the beneficiaries of the adaptive tricycles.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0With this, they\u00a0 can comfortably transport themselves to school as well as move freely.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Elaborating further, the Coordinator said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“We visit schools to see areas where we can render assistance. Not only that we enter communities to fish out those in dear need and sometimes as we go along the streets and come across\u00a0 peculiar cases that need assistance, we follow it up.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
When children close from school, some of these children with disabilities are seen being backed by their relatives, and others struggling to get back home without means of transportation. To encourage them, we follow such cases up by collecting their addresses and needed information for assistance.<\/div>\n

We go to their various schools and hand over such tokens.<\/div>\n
