Kaduna’s female team at the ongoing Savannah Conference Volleyball League has won two consecutive matches\u00a0back-to-back.<\/p>\n
After\u00a0 winning the last match played on Day four\u00a0 against Zamfara\u00a0 by three straight\u00a0 sets,\u00a0 they went out smoking hot against Wikki of Bauchi\u00a0 on Thursday,\u00a0 beating\u00a0 them 3-1, coming\u00a0 from\u00a0 behind.<\/p>\n
The first set\u00a0 ended 16-25, second 25-21, while the third and\u00a0 fourth\u00a0 sets\u00a0 ended\u00a0 25-12 and 25-17 respectively.<\/p>\n
In other\u00a0 female\u00a0 matches played,\u00a0 the Food\u00a0 Basket Girls\u00a0 from\u00a0 Benue failed to\u00a0 overcome the superior\u00a0 firing\u00a0 power\u00a0 of the Nigeria\u00a0 Immigration\u00a0 Service (NIS),\u00a0 in spite\u00a0 of drawing the\u00a0 first\u00a0 blood\u00a0 by winning\u00a0 first\u00a0 set 25-23.<\/p>\n
The second set went\u00a0 to NIS 25-23, while\u00a0 Benue\u00a0 picked\u00a0 the third 25-23.<\/p>\n
Subsequent sets\u00a0 were won\u00a0 by NIS 25-18 and 15-4.<\/p>\n
High\u00a0 flying\u00a0 Nigeria\u00a0 Security and Civil Defence Corps\u00a0 (NSCDC) wasted no time\u00a0 in trouncing\u00a0 Wikki\u00a0 Girls\u00a0 3-0 (25-6, 25-11, 25-10).<\/p>\n
In the last\u00a0 female\u00a0 match of the day,\u00a0 Plateau failed to turn up,\u00a0 giving\u00a0 their\u00a0 opponents Spartans of Adam’s a smooth\u00a0 0-3 advantage.<\/p>\n
In the male match that\u00a0was concluded\u00a0as at time of filing this report,\u00a0 the boys from\u00a0 the Power\u00a0 State Niger, failed\u00a0 to overpower\u00a0 the NIS male\u00a0 team as they fell 0-3.<\/p>\n
The first two sets ended 17-25 respectively\u00a0and the third set witnessed\u00a0 a point\u00a0 improvement\u00a0 from Niger\u00a0 and ended 18-25<\/p>\n
