Several\u00a0top sports dignitaries were on ground to watch the excitement that filled the air in the final and deciding match for who becomes top in the Savannah Conference Volleyball League which ended in Kaduna on Saturday \u00a0\u00a0as the male team of the Nigeria\u00a0 Security and Civil Defense Corps\u00a0 (NSCDC) subdued their arch rivals, Nigeria\u00a0 Immigration\u00a0 Service (NIS) to finish first and second\u00a0 positions\u00a0 respectively.<\/p>\n
Dignitaries that watched\u00a0 the match\u00a0 included\u00a0 Governor Nasir el-Rufai represented by Kaduna State Commissioner of Youth,\u00a0 Sports\u00a0 and Culture,\u00a0 Honourable \u00a0Daniel Danauta, former\u00a0 Director General of the defunct National Sports\u00a0 Commission\u00a0 (NSC),\u00a0 Dr. Hassan Saleh Yakmut and Director Grassroots Sports Development,\u00a0 Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development,\u00a0 Dr. Ademola Are.<\/p>\n
Also present were the President, Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF),\u00a0Engineer Musa Nimrod,\u00a0 Zonal Coordinator Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development,\u00a0 North West,\u00a0 Mr. Olushola Luke,\u00a0 Secretary General of NVBF. Maikano Alhaji Adamu, Technical\u00a0 Director NVBF,\u00a0\u00a0 Mr. Martins Melandie and Board Member NVBF,\u00a0 Mr. John Fwah.<\/p>\n
Earlier,\u00a0the NSCDC female team emerged winners of that category, qualifying for the final alongside three others,\u00a0NIS,\u00a0 Benue\u00a0 and Kaduna\u00a0 who finished second, third and fourth respectively.<\/p>\n
In the male category, others that qualified\u00a0are Kano and Plateau respectively.<\/p>\n
For details of how they fared according\u00a0to points, in the female category, NSCDC got 21 points.<\/p>\n
NIS garnered 17 points; Benue Queens got 15, while Kaduna scored 12 points.<\/p>\n
For the male category,\u00a0NSCDC got 21 points, NIS 18, Kano\u00a0got 11 points, same number of\u00a0points\u00a0with\u00a0Plateau, but a real ahead as a result\u00a0of one set\u00a0 superiority over Plateau.<\/p>\n
For details of the star match, NIS won the first set,\u00a0NSCDC picked the second,\u00a0third and fourth sets.<\/p>\n
To add color+ to the event was a cultural group which displayed to the admiration of the spectators.<\/p>\n
