{"id":12935,"date":"2022-09-16T08:20:09","date_gmt":"2022-09-16T08:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=12935"},"modified":"2022-09-16T08:20:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-16T08:20:09","slug":"kaduna-state-disability-affairs-board-commends-appeals-project-says-inclusion-will-take-them-off-the-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=12935","title":{"rendered":"Kaduna State Disability Affairs Board Commends APPEALS Project      &#8230; says, inclusion will take them off the street"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Kaduna State Disability Affairs Board Commends APPEALS Project<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8230; says, inclusion will take them off the street<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Kaduna State Disability Affairs Board has commended APPEALS Project for the inclusion of its members.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The inclusion it stated will not only take them off the street but also make them self reliance.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Deputy Director of Board, Mr. Hassan Suleiman stated this\u00a0 during an interactive session between the beneficiaries and the service providers in Kaduna.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to him,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;The inclusion of one hundred people with special needs in agric-businesses by APPEALS will make them self employed in the state.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Deputy Director explained that developing mental and physical capacity of people with special needs would take them off the streets and to be among the employees of labour.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He also assured that the beneficiaries would fully utilized what they have learned during the training to improve their income, to get acceptance in the societies and also be equal with anyone in their communities.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mr. Hassan Suleiman commended APPEALS for an excellent project aim at improving the welfare particularly for people with special needs to become independent in Kaduna state.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Also in their remarks, some of the beneficiaries, Mallam Haruna Abubakar and Rukayya Aliyu were optimistic that the objective of the project particularly on people with special needs would be achieved.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In an interview with Kaduna State Coordinator of APPEALS, Dr. Yahaya Aminu explained that under women and youth APPEALS project, one thousand, seven hundred people are expected to benefit, while one hundred allocations have been reserved for people with special needs and each of them received support of more than one million Naira.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to him, the beneficiaries are expected to participate in poultry, rice and maize processing and aquaculture and they were all trained in those aspects in Zaria.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He explained that APPEALS\u00a0 had supported them with business skills and plan, registration with Corporate Affairs Commission and also support them with the service providers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dr. Yahaya Aminu said APPEALS wants to see people with special needs running a business, generating income and be employer of labour to also contribute to socio economic development of the state and the nation in general.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kaduna State Disability Affairs Board Commends APPEALS Project &#8230; says, inclusion will take them off the street The Kaduna State Disability Affairs Board has commended APPEALS Project for the inclusion of its members.
