{"id":1306,"date":"2018-07-04T08:18:59","date_gmt":"2018-07-04T08:18:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=1306"},"modified":"2018-07-04T08:18:59","modified_gmt":"2018-07-04T08:18:59","slug":"arewa-online-media-network-election-holds-in-kano-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=1306","title":{"rendered":"Arewa Online Media Network Election Holds in Kano Soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Arewa Online Media Network Election Holds in Kano Soon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zainab Tanimu<\/p>\n<p>Kaduna, North-West, NIGERIA<\/p>\n<p>Plans have been concluded to conduct the election of the executive council for northern based, Arewa Online Media Network.<\/p>\n<p>In a press statement signed by Mr Soji Oyawoye and made available to journalists, the Election Planning Committee said the election scheduled to hold in Kano in July will be fair and credible.<\/p>\n<p>According to the committee, the decision to elect executives for the forum was informed by the widespread abuse of professional ethics, especially the culture of reporting unverified news on the online platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The Statement further reads: \u201cThe election will expectedly usher in the new executive council of the online news platforms, in order to ensure that the culture of spreading fake news online is tackled with the kind of seriousness it deserves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dSale of nomination forms is on, in the 19 Northern States to allow for mass participation.
