The All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate,\u00a0 for the 2023 elections in Katsina State, Dr Dikko Radda has promised to run digital governance. A government whereby all government activities and transactions would be treated digitally,<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Dr Dikko Radda disclosed this while unveiling the Digital Academy\u00a0 in Katsina,\u00a0 Tuesday, saying himself,\u00a0 partners and friends had taken it upon themselves to award scholarship to the first 500 students admitted in the academy. The academy is meant to be a\u00a0 hub for acquiring digital skills<\/div>\n

Alhaji Dikko Radda said he had established the Digital Academy to reduce the cumbersome system of doing businesses manually in the state.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He said the institution would reduce people\u2019s stress in doing businesses and other undertakings manually.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cWe are in an era where people can transact their businesses from offices, factories, farms, homes and so on,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Director- General of Small And Medium Enterprises Development of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Mr Oluwale Fasanya at the unveiling ceremony, urged youths in the state to take advantage and enrol into the academy.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Fasanya, represented by his Special Assistant, Alhaji Nura Tela, said Radda was his immediate predecessor in SMEDAN who resigned, now contesting for governorship of Katsina State.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cWhen Radda was the SMEDAN boss, he was nicknamed the \u201cDigital DG\u201d in view of his policies and programmes that Small and Medium Entrepreneurs must be computer literate to enhance their businesses.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Earlier, the Director of Katsina Academy, Mr. Abdullahi Kwale, thanked Radda for the transformation and project initiative, aimed to create more values to youths and the entire society.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Kwale said that when Radda was the DG SMEDAN, he established similar academy which was acclaimed to be one of the biggest learning hubs in the West African sub region.<\/div>\n

He disclosed that the Katsina Digital Academy was conceived in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer of Sapphital Learning, Mr Amu Obgeide, for the past four years before its establishment by Radda.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
