Just as the country is witnessing movement of political gladiators from one party to the other, Kaduna ruling All Progressive Party, (APC ) is\u00a0 saddled with the problem of \u2018who is who\u2019\u00a0 in the party.<\/p>\n

Political observers have described the on-going rancor as to whether the senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani remains suspended or not as a very dicey situation at this critical time.<\/p>\n

A group under the auspices of APC Awareness Forum has in a press conference today at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat declared that the said suspension of the senator \u00a0signed by Ward Six Chairman, Ibrahim Salisu Togo, Tudun Wada North Chapter of APC as illegal.<\/p>\n

The suspension it said has received wide spread condemnation by members of the public.<\/p>\n

The Chairman of the group Basir Yakubu speaking on behalf of the forum maintained that the suspension has no constitutional backing as the party constitution made it clear such conditions under which one can be suspended.<\/p>\n

.\u201cThe constitution of the party provides that:,<\/p>\n

(a,) before a suspension of any senator, a letter should be written to him\/her stating all the offences alleged to have been committed by him\/.her in order to defend himself\/herself.<\/p>\n

(b) and after the defense, a committee should be set up by the party to look into the defense.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is sad and regrettable that all these provisions of the party constitution were ignored by the state government which controls the party because of the selfish interest of the State Governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will make available some copies of the party constitution for you so that you will go through for a better and clear understanding of the position of the constitution on the critical issue of suspension of political office holders.<\/p>\n

\u201cInterestingly, the state chairman of the party has described the so-called suspension as null and void because he knows the position of the constitution in this type of crucial political issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cBesides, if you could recall the former National chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun, while reacting to the illegal suspension said that the suspension was null and void and that it was only the National Executive Committee that has the legal right to suspend members of the party.<\/p>\n

Investigation according to the group reveals that money change hands in a bid to carrying out the deed.<\/p>\n

\u201cShortly after the announcement of the illegal suspension, we began a thorough investigation and our findings revealed that the Ward executives of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), were given mouth watery financial inducements to carry out the illegal act.<\/p>\n

Contributing, the Secretary of the group, Ado Mohammed said Senator Shehu Sani was suspended for unjust reason. He attributed his suspension to his popularity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are threatened by Shehu Sani\u2019s grassroot mobilization therefore wants him out. Nobody is superior to the constitution of APC.<\/p>\n

Desperation does not give power. He yelled.<\/p>\n
