Ex – Minister of Special Duties daughter, Hon.\u00a0Sa\u2019adatu Bello Kirfi\u00a0 has relinquished her position as Bauchi State Commissioner of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the notice came less than 24hrs after the announcement of her father, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Kirfi’s<\/p>\n

removal as Wazirin Bauchi and Council Member of Bauchi Emirate by the Emirate Council.<\/p>\n

Her father was removed for allegedly disrespecting the Bauchi State Governor, Governor Bala Mohammed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The letter announcing his removal dated January 3, 2023 from the Bauchi Emirate Council, signed by Alhaji Shehu Mudi Muhammad, the Council Secretary reads thus:<\/div>\n

\u201cI am directed to refer to a letter received from the Ministry of Local Government Affairs of reference No: MLG\/LG\/S\/72\/T dated 30th December, 2022,\u201d the letter,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe content of the said letter indicated your disloyalty and disrespect to the Executive Governor of the State and the Government.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cIt therefore directed for your removal with immediate effect.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cIn view of the above you are hereby removed from office as the Wazirin Bauchi and also a Council Member of Bauchi Emirate\u201d<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Though, there is the insinuation that the Waziri had during a meeting told those present to vote for Atiku for President and the All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate, Air Marshal Saddique Abubakar, retired for governor.<\/p>\n

This is the second time that Kirfi, former minister of Special Duties in the Presidency during former President Olusegun Obasanjo\u2019s first tenure, is being penalised as the Councilor of the Emirate.<\/div>\n

The first was during the tenure of the former Governor Mohammad Abubakar when he was suspended but was subsequently restored by the incumbent Governor Bala Mohammed, the Kauran Bauchi.<\/div>\n

In her letter addressed to the governor, through the Secretary to the State Government, Kirfi thanked Governor Bala for considering her worthy to serve in his administration.<\/div>\n

She said, \u201cYour Excellency, I wish to humbly tender my resignation as member, Bauchi State Executive Council and Hon Commissioner Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Development, Bauchi State with immediate effect. I wish to thank His Excellency the Executive Governor for giving me the opportunity to serve my state under your Administration.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
