Kaduna House of Assembly Elects Goro Shadalafiya as New Deputy Speaker<\/p>\n

Following the resignation of the \u00a0former Kaduna state Deputy Speaker, Hon. John Audu Kwaturu, \u00a0Kaduna State House of Assembly today has declared the seat vacant.<\/p>\n
The Speaker, Right Honourable Aminu Shagali ,who announced this on the floor of the House on Wednesday said the decision was in line with the provision of the law.<\/p>\n
The former Deputy Speaker representing Kachia Constituency had on Friday dumped the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the Peoples\u2019 Democratic Party. (PDP)<\/p>\n
Reason given being that of impunity and failure on the side of the party to carry his Southern Kaduna people along. This led to his resignation on Tuesday as Deputy Speaker to join the opposition party in preparation for the 2019 election.<\/p>\n
With This development, Honourable Ahmed Mohammed member representing Zaria\/Kewaye Constituency nominated the former House Committee Chairman on Information and member representing Kagarko constituency , Honourable Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya to fill in the vacant seat of the Deputy Speaker<\/p>\n
This was unanimously approved by the House and was elected the new Deputy Speaker after which he was immediately sworn in by the Speaker.<\/p>\n
