Natrul – Lahil – L – Fatih Society, NASFAT has called on Muslim brothers and sisters to observe the 6days fast of shawaal for more benefits.<\/p>\n

“Whoever fast Ramadan and follows it with 6days fast of shawaal is like someone who fasted a whole year.<\/p>\n

Doka Group’s Lead Missioner, Kaduna Zone, Ustahz Kabir Usman emphasized this while delivering a sermon to members of the group.<\/p>\n

Though not compulsory he said but has lots of rewards as such urged every Muslim that was able to observe the Ramadan fast to seek more blessings from Allah SWT by observing the fast.<\/p>\n

“Fasting is a person\u2019s protective shield and its virtues are well-known. When we give up our food and drink for Allah\u2019s sake, it is a virtuous and good deed. He continued.<\/p>\n

Allah says: \u201cO you who believe, bow down in Ruku and bow down in Sajdah, and worship your Lord and do good deeds, so that you achieve success.\u201d (Qur\u2019an, 22:77)<\/p>\n

Today Saturday, 06\/05\/2023\u00a0 is the 17th day of Shawwal 1444AH<\/div>\n
There is still time for you to be part of the reward.<\/div>\n

Encourage others to fast so as to also reap its reward. Who knows, someone might have a change of heart and fast.<\/div>\n

May Allah accept it from us as an act of Ibadah.” Ameen.<\/p>\n

There are various opinions about how to observe the fasts in Shawwal he said. It is left to individual’s discretion to choose which is more comfortable to one.<\/p>\n

According to some scholars opinion,<\/p>\n

some scholars hold the view that it is preferable to fast the six days in consecutive order, starting from the second day of Shawwal. This is the view of Al-Shafii and Ibn Al-Mubarak.<\/p>\n

Others are of the opinion that it is preferable to fast the six days intermittently, spreading them out throughout the month of Shawwal. This is the position of Ahmad bin Hanbal and Waki.<\/p>\n

Then there are those who hold the view that the days should all be postponed until later in the month and not close to the day of Eid, which is a time of celebration and feasting.<\/p>\n

They prefer fasting the three days in the middle of the month (Ayyam Al-Bid) along with the three days right before or after. This is the opinion of Mamar and Abd al-Razzaq.<\/p>\n

There is considerable flexibility in all of this. We can choose to follow any of these approaches that we wish.<\/p>\n
