Kaduna State Social Democratic Party\u2019s (SDP) Gubernatorial Aspirant Haruna Sa\u2019eed says SDP is the party to look out for come 2019 general election polls as it has all its takes to deliver Kaduna state from its endless problems.<\/p>\n

Easy going Haruna Sa\u2019eed, is a strong contender for this seat which many are vying for. But since politics is a game where many are called but only one is chosen, he said, \u00a0he is that \u00a0\u2018one person\u2019 that would be chosen because\u00a0 according to him he has all the leadership qualities needed to turn around the economy of Kaduna state for better.<\/p>\n

Fully ready he is to fight the battle this time around he said because he is much more aware of all the in tricks that robbed him off his victory during the 2011 election.<\/p>\n

Focused and determined Sa\u2019eed (Kajuru) while declaring his intent to run for same seat at the SDP Party Secretariat, had assured the good people of Kaduna state good governance. He said he would not betray the trust reposed on him and that he knows where the shoe pinches. One\u2019s character he believes should speak for him especially when it comes to the issue of leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cCharacter in politics is the same as character in any relationship. People are supposed to check and see what kind of traits that makes a person. What are the issues that surround his character? There is no person that should just be entrusted with any responsibility without ensuring that he has a number of things around him.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost is that of one ensuring that he has the capacity to deliver and if he does have the capacity, that capacity is of no use if he does not have good character. Even if he does have the character, these two qualities are inadequate if he does not have the commitments to deliver on them. Again, if he does have the three \u00a0qualities and he does not have the fourth one, that is, he has never contributed in a way that people can appreciate his past, then he is still of no consequence.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, we make people to understand and we have talked to people to understand; how do you test a leader? How do you determine the person you want to vote for? You should look for these qualities that l have enumerated\u201d. He advised that people should not sell their votes.<\/p>\n

Just as the saying goes that it is not all that glitters is gold, Sa\u2019eed confident of his leadership qualities has thrown open to the people of Kaduna state the task of \u00a0\u00a0finding out more about him and that he is confident of the fact that the \u00a0findings would place his person above other contestants because he knows his salt.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not in a position now to simply tell you that we possess all these qualities but every person, every citizen who has a vote to cast even if he does not have a vote to put but he has what it takes to understand, to analyze traits in any person, they can go and conduct research on the leaders that are going to contest election and l believe we shall come top on that list\u201d. He assured.<\/p>\n

He stated that, the people of Kaduna state are calling for new leadership and because he has the pre-requisite that is why he is answering their call and accepted to serve.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not me, but the Kaduna state people are committed to having a new leadership, therefore all I have done is to answer the call of the people. The challenge is not mine but that of the people. Nobody would aspire for a position that is not vacant because Kaduna state citizens have shown their interest of replacing the current leadership that is why I have accepted the call. Otherwise, I would not need to contest if citizens were not asking for a new leadership. He said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe case in Kaduna State today is that people do not trust the leadership of Mallam El-Rufai and they want a change. \u00a0Mallam Nasir El-Rufai\u2019s led administration has lost touch with the electorate in the state. The government has failed the people.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reality is that in all aspects of governance like agriculture, health, infrastructure among others, people have seen real failure in the government of Mallam El-rufai who has been unable to deliver on all the promises made to the people and, thus call for a change\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Sa\u2019eed while assuring the people of Kaduna state of good governance said, if given the opportunity to serve, \u00a0Kaduna state would bounce back again because he is familiar with the trend and had also been very active in the affairs of governance of Kaduna state.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see leadership is about the personality and the people that come together with the leadership to create the change. I know this state very well, I have served Kaduna state and contributed immensely to bring about the desired development at the time I served and ensured that basic expectations on the part of the government were met.<\/p>\n

I have been there for eleven years as Accountant General of the state and all aspects of governance in the state revolve around finance issue and I was the chief accounting officer of the state then. So, that capacity of trying to deliver on what governance is all about has always been there and all we need is to bring it to the fore\u201d.<\/p>\n

The gubernatorial aspirant has called for the support of Kaduna states citizens in other that he can make Kaduna state great again .<\/p>\n

When asked to give clarification as to information gathered with regards to his past political pursuit and experience, he has this to say.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes our contest is not new per say. Like someone rightly said, l was a candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011 in Kaduna state for the seat of governor and all can testify just as the speaker has testified, we won the election but we lost the office.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy did we loss the office? It is not because we did not want to occupy it but because the same people normally snatch things. They snatch your rights, they snatch your finance, they take your money away, they snatch your freedom, they don\u2019t want you to live freely in the society; they snatch your victory when you win election, they snatch your economy. They snatch your brain they don\u2019t want you to think. They tell you lies about everything. So is the same set of people that snatched our victory\u201d.\u00a0 \u00a0He ended.<\/p>\n
