Over two thousand four hundred athletes from twenty-four states have so far arrived and registered for the 4th National Youth Games holding in Ilorin.<\/p>\n
The chairman of the Accommodation Committee for the Games, Ali Durotoye, confirmed this to newsmen in Ilorin.<\/p>\n
He explained that Lagos and Kogi States are among states that missed the third edition, but are already in Ilorin for the fourth edition of the games.<\/p>\n
Mr Durotoye, a Deputy Director with the Federal Ministry of Youth \u00a0and Sports Development also confirmed that gymnastics, wrestling and judo will commence immediately after the screening on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The former Zonal Coordinator of the Ministry in Kaduna said that Rivers has the highest number of athletes so far, put at 289.<\/p>\n
The games will officially open on Monday from 2pm.<\/p>\n
