{"id":17242,"date":"2023-09-17T21:54:42","date_gmt":"2023-09-17T21:54:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=17242"},"modified":"2023-09-17T21:54:42","modified_gmt":"2023-09-17T21:54:42","slug":"katsina-government-trains-1600-senior-civil-servants-on-ict-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=17242","title":{"rendered":"Katsina Government trains 1,600 senior civil servants on ICT technology\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"auto\">Katsina Government trains 1,600 senior civil servants on ICT technology<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Zainab Tanimu<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Kaduna Northwest, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">One thousand six hundred senior civil servants in Katsina state are to undergo Information and Communication Technology, ICT training.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">The training on the use of different applications is meant to help boost their work.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Head of Service (HoS) of the state, Alhaji Usman Isiyaku, disclosed this at the official opening of the eight-week training in Katsina on Friday.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Alh Isyaku, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the HoS, Alhaji Falalu Bawale, said the training was to prepare the participants for competency exams coming soon.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-17245\" src=\"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/th-2023-09-16T111240.158-300x163.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"163\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/th-2023-09-16T111240.158-300x163.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/th-2023-09-16T111240.158.jpeg 474w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The training he said was part of the present administration\u2019s efforts to ensure competency and efficiency in the public service.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;To have competent and efficient civil servants, you have to give them training. That\u2019s why we have started now.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cIt\u2019s just the beginning and we started with 1,600 but, of course, other civil servants are coming on board.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cWe will make sure that the state is producing competent and quality civil servants that can compete with their counterparts in this country and all over the world,\u201d Isyaku said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">He said that training and re-training of civil servants were central to the administration\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">According to him, a leader is expected to encourage his workers through training and retraining.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cThat\u2019s why we started with the permanent secretaries, and the best were chosen amongst them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Department of Establishment, Pension and Training, Alhaji Mas\u2019ud Banye, commended the government for organising the training.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Participants at the training<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Banye expressed the confidence that the exercise would positively impact on all the participants.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">He said, \u201cThe intention of the State Government was to make public service ICT-driven, in order to improve the quality of the services being rendered.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Also, in an address of welcome, the Rector, Katsina State Institute of Technology Management (ITM), Dr Babangida Abubakar, described the training as \u201ca great development\u201d.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">The participants, he said, would be trained on the use of different applications, which would assist them in discharging their duties in their offices.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">He called on the participants to concentrate fully, saying that failure to do so would make them neglect their responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Katsina Government trains 1,600 senior civil servants on ICT technology Zainab Tanimu Kaduna Northwest, Nigeria One thousand six hundred senior civil servants in Katsina state are to undergo Information and Communication Technology, ICT training.
