{"id":17260,"date":"2023-09-21T10:56:31","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T10:56:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=17260"},"modified":"2023-09-21T10:56:31","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T10:56:31","slug":"tribunals-judgement-governor-abba-tells-supporters-to-remain-calm-heads-to-court-of-appeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=17260","title":{"rendered":"Tribunal&#8217;s judgement: Governor Abba tells supporters to remain calm, heads to court of appeal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"auto\">Tribunal judgement: Governor Abba tells supporters to remain calm, heads to court of appeal<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">By News Desk<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Governor Abba of Kano state has called on his supporters to remain calm and law abiding on the recent development of his nullification by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kano on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Reacting at a press conference held in government house Kano, he said the judgement was riddled with errors and misapplication of law.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">His lawyers he informed identified many errors and loopholes in the judgement which he hoped would be corrected at the Court of Appeal.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the governor disclosed that the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party, NNPP, had already instructed its legal teams to start processing the appeal as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cThere are errors and misapplication of the law as pointed out by my lawyers. There is room for appeal. I have already instructed our legal team to start appeal process as soon as possible&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Governor Yusuf calling on his supporters for calm assured that the judgement would not dampen his spirit of fulfilling his campaign promises for Kano people, adding that it is a temporary setback that would go soon.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cI call on Kano people to be calm and law abiding. People should not take law in their hands.
