Nastrul – Lahi -L- Fatih Society (NASFAT) Women in line with the organization’s Health, Education, Livelihood and Da’wah (HELD) policy said, it will donate a 3Obed hospital to Fountain University Oshogbo.<\/div>\n

This was disclosed by NASFAT National Women Affairs Secretary, Mrs Suweebah Bola Aduke Kupolati at the just concluded Kaduna Zone, 1st Biennial Zonal Women’s Conference.<\/div>\n

Kupolati before declaring the conference open had in her keynote address commended the women of the zone for their efforts and sacrifices in contributing towards the upliftment of the religion Islam while urging that more support be given to make the project a reality.<\/div>\n

The conference she said will provide a fora for the women within the Zones to come together to discuss and brainstorm on issues and ideas relating to Women advancement. By so doing chart the way forward for the Women Management Committee and the Society as a whole.<\/div>\n

Speaking on the theme of the conference, “Sincerity of Purpose: A virtue of A Muslimah” and the Sub theme, “Polygamy: A Problem or A Solution”?<\/div>\n
Women, she charged should follow that which is enjoined on them by Allah in the holy Quran as well as adhere to the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (saw) in order to earn a better life here on earth and in the hereafter.<\/div>\n

The lecture she noted, is to reawaken the Muslimah to actively cultivate the virtue of sincerity in their worship and deeds.<\/div>\n

“A person who means what they say is a sincere person. A person who doesn’t mean what they say is not a sincere person, and perhaps even seen as a hypocrite. Being honest and direct about your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs will help others get to know us on a mutually-sincere level. Don’t exaggerate your responses, reactions, or feelings.<\/div>\n

“Allah tests those who have, even those who have been given very little to see their trust in Him.<\/div>\n

“Please as Muslimah, we should protect our sincerity and integrity. Similarly, on the Sub theme “Polygamy: A Problem or A Solution”, we want our women and other Muslim women to have deep knowledge and understanding of polygamous marriage in line with the teachings of the Qu’ran and principles of shari’ah.<\/div>\n

According to Imam Ali Ibn Abi Ralib (as) said “people are Afraid of what they do not understand”. If our women understand properly that polygamous marriage is a social necessity and in the ultimate interest of both women and men perhaps, the negative attitude of some women towards it will reduce.”<\/div>\n

“state of marriage to many spouse.” Though an act permissible in Islam,\u00a0 however,\u00a0 Islam does not give men the ‘blanket right’ to have more than one wife. He said.<\/div>\n

“Polygamy is not a right but a responsibility to ensure social justice for orphans or the oppressed. What ALLAH has granted is in fact a restriction on an existing practice of that time when men could marry as many as they wanted Monogamy, on the other hand, which is the practice of marrying one wife by a man; is generally recommended by ALLAH as a form of marriage for men. However, polygamy was encouraged to protect the interests of the oppressed or the orphans. If justice can be done by marrying more than one wives (Q.4:3).<\/div>\n

After the battle of Uhud, when dozens of men from the still formative Muslim community in Medina were killed in one day. Numerous women and children were left without support. \u00a0In some African societies, a man’s wealth is measured by the number of wives he has. But in Islam, polygamy has come to stay as an imperative alternative to the fading and problematic monogamy which is now fraught with daunting epilepsy of survival.<\/div>\n

Attempting to x-ray polygamy from Islamic perspectives with a view to answering the question of whether it is a solution or a problem to the myriads of challenges facing our homes in particular and our society in general, he said.<\/div>\n

“Indeed, the greatest necessity of polygamy, and of course, the mother of all necessities to occur is destiny. In essence, ALLAH Himself is regarded as the major cause of polygamy, and it is best known to HIM what HE Intends to use polygamy to do within the family system in particular and in our society as a whole using destiny as a means Q.17:84).<\/div>\n

Say, “Nothing will ever befall us except what Allah has destined for us. He is our Protector.” So in Allah let the believers put their trust.<\/div>\n

As for the advantage of Polygamy,<\/div>\n

It helps to teach the ummah how to treat the women.<\/div>\n

Speaking, Chairman of the occasion, Arc. Tajudeen Bakare commended the erudite scholars, Permanent Commissioner Peace Commission, Hajiya Khadija Hawaja Gambo, Mallam Hamzah Yusuf and Mallam Ismail Abdulkadir from Da’wah institute of Nigeria Minna and Dr. Luqman Salati, member, NASFAT Kaduna Mission board for doing justice to the theme of the event.<\/div>\n

“By Devine Providence one can find\u00a0 herself in such condition.<\/div>\n

“Polygamy is not the problem but those practicing it are the problem.<\/div>\n

Favouritism and jealousy are part of the reasons why women are against Polygamy.” He said.<\/div>\n

While calling on the men to play their roles justly and fairly, polygamy,<\/div>\n
despite it impact on mental health of those involved like the children, the man and the woman, it has some\u00a0 advantages. Such advantages being\u00a0 that of allowing others to share resources of a successful man, and that it offers companionship.<\/div>\n
