Kaduna: Fish out the killers of Chalya Silas – NAWOJ urges security agents, Government<\/p>\n

Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria<\/p>\n

Kaduna Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has condemned the killing of a\u00a0 national Youth service Corp member, Miss Chalya Silas\u00a0 serving in Kaduna.<\/p>\n

The association has described the death of the slain copper as unacceptable as justice must be done to bring the culprits of this heinous act to book.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by NAWOJ Chairperson, Hajiya Fatima Aliyu Mahuta and Secretary, Maureen Sheyin.<\/p>\n

It is calling on the security agencies and the state government to hasten, arrest and bring to book those behind this killing.<\/p>\n

Late Miss Chalya Silas was killed<\/p>\n

while having her usual morning jogging at Barnawa.<\/p>\n

According to the statement,<\/p>\n

“Kaduna NAWOJ is greatly saddened by the reported gruesome killing of Chalya Silas at\u00a0 Barnawa during her regular morning jogging.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

“Kaduna NAWOJ strongly condemns this ungodly act. Government must as part of its responsibilities ensure that justice is done by deploying everything necessary to unravel the killers.<\/p>\n

“The death of the slain copper has thrown the nation into a state of deep mourning. It is not enough to direct a manhunt for the killers of Chalya Silas, but for the perpetrators to be apprehended and be seen to be punished accordingly. The statement added.<\/p>\n

The association sincerely commensurate with the family of the deceased.<\/p>\n
