With the 2019 general election drawing closer, some communities in Kaduna state have started sending warning messages to politicians not to bring 2019 campaign to their villages.<\/p>\n
This according to them is as a result of series of failed promises by Kaduna politicians since the returned of democracy in 1999\u00a0and therefore would not allow themselves to be deceived by them again.<\/p>\n
The chief of unguwar Jatau , sarki musa Gadani , Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state said,\u00a0 they are tired of fake promises by \u00a0Kaduna politicians and they do not want to see them coming for any 2019 campaign in their communities.<\/p>\n
He stated this to our correspondent who was at the village during an interactive session with him and residents of the area.<\/p>\n
\u201dKaduna politician have failed us. We are tired of them. \u00a0They failed to fulfill their campaign promises made to us since 2015. They promised constructing good road, providing portable drinking water and other social amenities\u00a0which could improve the lives of the rural dwellers. There is just nothing to show for it.\u201d He said.<\/p>\n
Blowing hot, he continued. \u201dPoliticians usually come to the village during their political campaigns and convince us to vote for them, which we do. Once they come into power, they never come back to see us. They never remember us until it is time for another campaign.<\/p>\n
The chief said Community members have tried severally to persuade both past and present state and local government officials to come to their aids and yet nothing has changed.<\/p>\n
And that the only politician that they would listen to in 2019\u00a0is senator shehu sani\u00a0 because he has done what no any politician in Nigeria has ever done for them.<\/p>\n
\u201cApart from Senator Shehu Sani, we do not want to see any politician bringing campaign to our community.\u201d\u00a0 He stressed.<\/p>\n
Sarki musa Gadani added that, \u00a0\u201cdue to lack of health center in our\u00a0communities\u2019 pregnant women prefer to give birth during dry season than in rainy season to avert suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI am calling on Kaduna politicians not to come to our villages again for any political campaign<\/p>\n
We have decided to stop participating in any politics because\u00a0we benefit nothing from it. The God that created us will surely help us one day.\u201d He ended.<\/p>\n
Jummai Gedion is one of the residents in the village who opened up on some of the challenges,<\/p>\n

\u201dWe have been voting different politicians and they have never contributed anything to our lives. They have done nothing to improve the lives of women and children in the community.<\/p>\n
“They are all empty promises. No good roads, no water. The lack of skilled acquisition programme for the youth and women in the communities remains a big challenge.<\/p>\n
“As for next year general election, we do not want to see any politician in our community because they have done nothing to improve our lives. We would not vote for them.\u201d\u00a0 She said.<\/p>\n
