The zone and its entire member is proud to have one of its own among the cream of officers to take NASFAT to greater heights.<\/p>\n To felicitate with the easy going engineer of repute were representatives of NASFAT Kaduna executive council who on behalf of the zone were there to wish him a happy and successful tenure.<\/p>\n The outgone President, NASFAT Worldwide, Alhaji Niyi Yusuf, Managing Partner, Verraki Partners had in his speech during the inauguration urged every member not to relent in their efforts in the realization of the society’s dream.<\/p>\n “It is with immense pleasure and gratitude that I stand before you today as we gather to celebrate the accomplishments and journey of our dear Society, the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT).<\/p>\n Your presence here is a testament to the love, strength, unity and brotherhood that define our Ummah.<\/p>\n I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you who has joined us physically and virtually on this special occasion. Today is not just an ordinary day; it is a day of reflection, gratitude, fellowship, and renewal.<\/p>\n “I thank Allah for His mercies, blessings, guidance and favour over the last 1,567 nights of my tenure as the President of the NASFAT Society, from October 20, 2019 to February 4, 2024. I’m grateful for His guidance which enabled me discharge the multifaceted and onerous responsibilities as President of our dear society to the best of my ability. As with everything that has a beginning, there is an end, except Allah.<\/p>\n Niyi thanked everyone for their unflinching support through turbulent periods of his tenure which he said made it possible for the success recorded.<\/p>\n “I acknowledge with deep heartfelt gratitude the unconditional acceptance and support I received from the elders, leaders, youths, women, members, friends, and followers of NASFAT Society across locations. I thank them for their unflinching support and trust in the direction provided by the National Executive Council as we charted unfamiliar terrains.<\/p>\n Such unfamiliar terrains which he said challenged their capabilities such as that of, COVID-19, economic recessions, cash scarcity, insecurity and kidnapping, removal of subsidies, and rising inflation<\/p>\n were surmounted through supportive efforts of many.<\/p>\n “I have also greatly benefitted from the wise counsel and immeasurable support of the National Council of Elders and the Board of Trustees. You gave me wings to fly! I was able to see far because I stood on the shoulders of many giants in the society, including all prior 6 Presidents who graciously supported in different forms and allowed the NEC to build upon the solid foundation they had laid. As said by Maya Angelou “I come as one, but I stand as ten thousand”.<\/p>\n Also acknowledged was the cooperations received from agencies which according to him, “made simple an otherwise complex affair”, and enabled NASFAT to remain a pace-setting society with widespread acceptance.<\/p>\n “Despite our multiple agencies, NASFAT at the core remains a religious society with a clear mission of developing an<\/p>\n enlightened Muslim society nurtured by a true understanding of Islam for the spiritual upliftment and welfare of mankind.<\/p>\n Stating\u00a0 some of his achievements.<\/p>\n “Your support made possible the<\/p>\n seemingly impossible. In 51.5 months, we inaugurated 43 groups into full fledge branches of the society and we also formed 10 additional zones for the society to ease administration. I recall with immense gratitude the support received from our leaders and elders across locations and organs, during the covid pandemic.<\/p>\n “Through your support the society was able to switch to virtual asalatu sessions and we provided food and financial support of a minimum of N1.0m daily for over 2 months of the covid-19<\/p>\n lockdown in 2020.<\/p>\n “This unplanned and unprecedented situation which happened within the first 6 months of my tenure as President would have been insurmountable but for your collaboration.<\/p>\n “I thank you all most sincerely for your solid support and kind generosity which made this and many other initiatives possible. Indeed, if you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together (African Proverb). Together, we have gone far, and a lot has been achieved, yet so much still left to be done.<\/p>\n Niyi urged that same cooperation he enjoyed be extended to the newly inaugurated officers for the success and growth of the society.<\/p>\n Following a thorough screening by experienced members of the Shura Committee, new officers as approved by the president emerged to steer the affairs of NASFAT for the year 2024 to 2026.<\/p>\n Altogether, 22 including ex – officious were sworn in to paddle the affairs.<\/p>\n The newly sworn in President NASFAT Worldwide, Alhaji Ayodeji Abdul wahid AbdulRauf, a sound and dedicated member of NASFAT with high pedigree, and 12 years of experience is expected to together with his team continue from his predecessor’s exemplary leadership.<\/p>\n Acknowledging the good work of his predecessor, Alhaji Niyi Yusuf, he promised to together with his team take NASFAT to a higher level.<\/p>\n “Bro Niyi Yusuf, a disruptive<\/p>\n strategy thinker, a friend that took me time to understand. Indeed your leadership had a remarkable<\/p>\n achievements and contributions to the growth and development of NASFAT.<\/p>\n Alhaji Abdul wahid AbdulRauf<\/p>\n appreciating NASFAT family for their support and confidence reposed in him, assured his readiness to assiduously work with his excos to keep the flag flying.<\/p>\n “We are deeply honored to serve as the management leadership of your society led by me.\u00a0 Your\u00a0 undiluted trust and confidence in us remain unparalleled. Let’s embark on this journey together, fostering unity, faith, and community service in pursuit of our new policy thrust focus ” LEAD ”\u00a0 which is a continual\u00a0 mirror of NASFAT stakeholders\u00a0 approved Strategic Plan Document 2021 – 2025 as in\u00a0 HELD.<\/p>\n “My sincere appreciation to the Shura Committee members led by Engr Tunji Adio for a good job, the pillars of<\/p>\n NASFAT, The NBOT led by Alhaji Abdulateef Olasupo, NCOE led by Alhaji Y Soliu, NMB led by Sheikh<\/p>\n AbdulMoruf Onike, NWC led by the outgoing NWAS Alhaja Kupolati & women of aljanat, NYC led by<\/p>\n outgoing NYS Bro Kabir Raji & the Amirs and Amiras in different locations and our most committed and dedicated members across the globe. I say thank you for your trust and confidence in us. Jzk.<\/p>\n Also appreciated were, all the past Presidents, Engr Yomi Bolarinwa, friends and family.<\/p>\n Alhaji AbdulRauf worried over the present state of affairs charged every Muslim ummah and Nigerians at large to be committed in their worship and seek the face of Almighty Allah particularly at this critical time in order that we can surmount the challenges bedeviling the nation.<\/p>\n “To this august congregation, the world is not getting any better, you can read it in both local and foreign news,<\/p>\n print, radio, television, cables and online. Institutions are failing in their responsibilities and social systems are<\/p>\n crumbling, we are in a strange world.<\/p>\n Allah he said has made things easy saying , if only the guidance and injunctions in the holy Quran are adhered to, things would have been better. He backed it up with one of the quotes in the Quran.<\/p>\n “We all have what it takes to be exempted as Muslims, that is patience, dedication and obey His command. This is in congruence with the mission of NASFAT.<\/p>\n Allah says: Surah 13 : 11<\/p>\n For each one are successive(angels) before and behind him, protecting him by Allah\u201ds command. Allah does not<\/p>\n change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.<\/p>\n And if Allah wills any hardship for<\/p>\n a people, there is no tuning it back, apart from Him they have no protector.<\/p>\n “This Ayah is telling us that Allah Ta ala does not change the state of peace and security enjoyed by a people into a<\/p>\n state of distress and instability until such time that those people themselves change their deeds and ways into evil<\/p>\n and disorder.<\/p>\n “As our leaders are toeing the path to change for better, so the followers must do to attain realistic change. We must<\/p>\n all decide to pay our rents for living.”<\/p>\n Determined in his bid to achieving the tasks ahead with projects accomplished he called for the collaborative support of all and sundry while assuring the judicious use of funds.<\/p>\n “NASFAT is here to help in making judicious and accountable use of your<\/p>\n donations\/resources for any of our ongoing and indeed future projects or collaborative endowments management.<\/p>\n “This inauguration marks not just a change in leadership, but a pivotal moment for our beloved society, as we embark on a journey of growth, development, consolidation, and strategic positioning for unparalleled success here and hereafter.<\/p>\n Challenging the members, “we must embrace creativity, and excellence in all our endeavors. We must foster unity, harmony, and cooperation among ourselves and with our stakeholders. We must be responsive, proactive, and adaptable to the changing needs and challenges of our times.<\/p>\n The president unfolded the agenda for the 2024-2026.<\/p>\n Our agenda is put into acronym, “LEAD”, which will drive our society’s projected growth and development.<\/p>\n The focus will be driven by purposeful Leadership, = L<\/p>\n Empowerment = E,<\/p>\n Agent of Change =A and Dawah =D (\u201cLEAD\u201d)<\/p>\n The agenda he explained is in alignment with the society’s vision, mission, values and strategic document.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “We will empower and support our women and youth to achieve their full potential and aspirations in all<\/p>\n spheres of life.<\/p>\n We will provide them with opportunities and platforms to express their views, talents, and skills.<\/p>\n “We will advocate for eradication of all form of discrimination, harassment, or violence against our women and<\/p>\n youth.<\/p>\n We will be an agent of change of society moral re-awakening by exemplifying and advocating the moral values and standards of Islam.<\/p>\n We will educate and enlighten the public<\/p>\n on the importance and benefits of morality, ethics, and justice.<\/p>\n We will also challenge and resist any form of immorality, corruption, or injustice that threatens the peace and harmony of the society.<\/p>\n In short we would follow the hadith of Rosulullah (saw) \u201cUse your hand, your mouth or your mind to forbid what is bad and call for what is good\u201d.<\/p>\n NASFAT is a distinguished and noble organization that has been serving the Muslim community and humanity at<\/p>\n large for close to three decades.<\/p>\n Multiple agencies not withstanding, NASFAT at the core remains a religious society with a clear mission of developing an enlightened Muslim society nurtured by a true understanding of Islam for the spiritual upliftment and welfare of mankind. He stressed.<\/p>\n Explaining further,<\/p>\n “We will continue to support and expand our existing projects and programs that have been making positive impacts in the areas of education, health, welfare, empowerment, and social justice.<\/p>\n “We will facilitate and promote wealth creation among our members and the public at large.<\/p>\n We will provide the financial literacy, guidance, and support that will enable them to achieve financial independence and security.<\/p>\n The reality is that skills are what we need to excel not paper certificates.
