The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Comrade Shehu Sani has denied authorizing the production of a joint poster of President Mohammadu Buhari and himself which is currently circulating in Kaduna State.<\/p>\n
In a press statement signed by the senator\u2019s Special Assistant on Media, Abdulsamad\u00a0Chima Amadi said the new party the senator now belongs to, the ‘People\u2019s Redemption Party’, PRP has no presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections neither have they declared support for anyone.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy attention has been drawn to the existence of some political campaign materials having the pictures of Sen Shehu Sani (PRP) and President Mohammadu Buhari (APC) together.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe office of Sen. Shehu Sani wishes to inform the general public and at the same time make it categorically clear that we were not consulted, neither did we sanction the production of such political campaign materials.<\/p>\n
\u201cFew weeks ago, Sen. Shehu Sani resigned his membership of the APC and along with his numerous supporters joined the Peoples Redemption Party PRP.<\/p>\n
\u201cThough we still hold President Mohammadu Buhari and the office he occupies in very high esteem, however, it is a known fact that at the moment, our political party, the PRP nether has a presidential candidate nor has the party adopted the presidential candidate of another political party.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur preliminary investigations revealed that the said materials were the handiwork of one Alh Aminu Aminci, who is a staunch supporter of both Sen. Shehu Sani and President Mohammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n
\u201cMuch as we very much appreciate the support Sen. Shehu Sani enjoys from individuals and groups, it is still important to clarify issues like this to avert any form of confusion and misinformation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank the good people of Kaduna Central for keeping faith with Sen. Shehu Sani and giving him their unflinching support. The Senator has answered their clarion call to continue representing them at the red chamber and he has chosen the real political party for the masses, the People\u2019s Redemption Party PRP as the platform under which he will be contesting for the Kaduna Central Senatorial seat in 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
