The Nastrul Lahil \u2013Fathih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT Kaduna Branch is to host the forth-coming Women Biennial International Conference scheduled to hold early next year.<\/p>\n
A courtesy visit was made to the office of the Special Adviser on Islamic Matters; Engr. Namadi Musa to seek government partnership on the event.<\/p>\n
The Chairman of the branch, \u00a0Engr. \u00a0Muyideen Yusuf who led the Executive Members of the branch to his office said the visit became necessary in order to intimate him on its hosting rights as well seek government\u2019s collaboration for a successful outing. The three day international conference Engr. Yusuf explained would go a long way in boosting the economy of the state as well as clear the misconception by some people that there is no peace in the north. More so, the presence of renowned Islamic Scholars from different parts of the world would open up areas of collaborations with regards to the peace agenda of his Excellency, Governor Nasir \u00a0El \u2013Rufai.<\/p>\n
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Chairman Alhaji Adekunle\u00a0 Adesanya said everything is in top gear for the hosting of the event.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver one thousand participants from within and outside the country are expected to be in Kaduna for the conference. This would help in changing the perception that Kaduna and the north as a whole is not secured\u201d. \u00a0He said.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the issue of peace, the \u00a0Chief Missioner of Kaduna branch, Imam Ma\u2019arooph Raji informed that the Conference of Imams NASFAT Worldwide would also be hosted in Kaduna come 2018 and that would further bring Kaduna state to limelight.<\/p>\n
Commending NASFAT\u2019s laudable programs, the Special Adviser on Islamic Matters Engr. Namadi Musa who doubles as Director, Bureau for Religious Affairs said Governor El-Rufai\u2019s administration is very much in support of peace building programs. His office he said would do all it can to lend its support to see that Kaduna state is portrayed in its proper light. The Bureau for Interfaith takes religious matters seriously as it is an avenue to enhancing peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Bureau for Interfaith if l may say, probably is the first of its kind in the country because the problem in Kaduna had made it possible for our governor to see that there is no need to have a structure that is predominantly Christian or Muslim. We have to stay together and stop the division in Kaduna whereby across the river is for Christians and the other side for Muslims. Why can\u2019t we create an opportunity whereby the Christians and the Muslims would stay under the same roof? That was what brought about the creation of Interfaith.<\/p>\n

The differences in our religion should not be seen as reason for our division rather, we should try to understand each other\u2019s religion for peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, our religion is not the same. Don\u2019t say there is no difference in religion. There is difference in religion. The idea is, let\u2019s understand the differences and agree. But don\u2019t say all the religions are the same or there is no difference between Christianity and Islam. There is difference. So, understand the difference of my religion, let me understand the difference of your religion then we agree. Is there anything that brings the two religions together? That which binds us, what is that? \u2018Peace and Stability\u2019. There is no religion that preaches disunity. So let us hold that pillar that binds us together and let\u2019s work towards it. That is exactly what we are doing.<\/p>\n
