President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr Badamasi Lawal Charanchi to head the National Social Investment Programmed Agency, NSIPA.<\/p>\n
A statement from the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale dated August 6, 2024 disclosed this.<\/p>\n

The appointment which was approved alongside six others according to the statement is to facilitate the needed relief to Nigerians as well as ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programmes.<\/p>\n
The appointees are to head strategic agencies and programmes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.<\/p>\n
The list of the new appointees reads thus:<\/p>\n
(1) Dr. Badamasi Lawal \u2014 Chief Executive Officer,\u00a0 National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).<\/p>\n
Dr. Lawal holds a doctorate degree in education, and he previously served as a commissioner in Katsina State.<\/p>\n
(2) Ms. Funmilola Olotu \u2014 Programme Manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office<\/p>\n
Ms. Olotu holds a master\u2019s degree in business administration, and she is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on state lotteries.<\/p>\n
(3) Ms. Aishat Alubankudi \u2014 Programme Manager, Grant for Vulnerable Groups<\/p>\n
Ms. Alubankudi holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in community development. She has experience as a risk assessor and financial manager.<\/p>\n
(4) Princess Aderemi Adebowale \u2014 Programme Manager, Home Grown School Feeding<\/p>\n
Princess Adebowale holds a doctorate degree. She is the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Civic Engagement and previously served as a local government chairperson.<\/p>\n
(5) Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam \u2014 Programme Manager, National Cash Transfer Office<\/p>\n
Mr. Imam holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in accountancy and has served as chief accountant, Northern Dairies Ltd, and as a bank manager.<\/p>\n
(6) Mr. Ayuba Gufwan \u2014 Executive Secretary, National Commission for People with Disabilities.<\/p>\n
Mr. Gufwan holds an LLB and is the executive director of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos.<\/p>\n
(7) Ms. Lami Binta Adamu Bello \u2014 Director General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.<\/p>\n
Ms. Binta holds a master\u2019s degree in public administration and has served as the Secretary-General of ALGON, and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health, as well as Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.<\/p>\n
The President expects the new heads of these critical agencies and programmes to discharge the functions of theioffices with utmost integrity and diligence so as to ensure that Nigerians, especially vulnerable groups, are the exclusive and direct beneficiaries of his administration\u2019s reconfigured welfare programmes.<\/p>\n
