Governor Uba Sani in fulfilment of his<\/p>\n
administration\u2019s commitment to advance workers\u2019 interests has endorsed N72,000 as the new minimum wage for Kaduna State civil servants.<\/p>\n
This is to take effects from\u00a0 November 2024.<\/p>\n
According to the statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Ibraheem Musa, the decision is in line with \u2018\u2019the advancement of the interests of workers and improvement in the living conditions of the poor, vulnerable and underserved in Kaduna State.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
The statement added that the decision \u2018\u2019 also aligns with Governor Uba Sani’s lifelong commitment to the promotion and protection of workers\u2019 rights, enhancement of their welfare, and caring for the poor and weak.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019Additionally, Governor Uba Sani is set to launch a Free Transportation Scheme for civil servants with the release of 100 CNG buses,\u2019\u2019 the statement added.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019The buses will convey civil servants to and from work. This is aimed at alleviating the suffering of workers and enhancing their productivity. A Joint Management Committee consisting of representatives of organized labour (NLC and TUC) and the State Government will be set up to manage the Free Transportation Scheme for civil servants,\u2019\u2019 it added.<\/p>\n
Governor Uba Sani promised that\u00a0 \u2018\u2019Kaduna State Government will continue to fashion and implement policies and measures to bring succour to the people.
