NASFAT Doka Branch Celebrates Women’s Week, Harps On Unity, Acceptance Of Will Of Allah<\/p>\n

NASFAT Kaduna Zone has kick-started its activities for the week. The one week activity which kick-started on Sunday had an impressive turnout of members and invited guests.<\/p>\n

In her opening speech, Women Affairs Secretary NASFAT Doka Branch, Hajia Bashirat Nike Sheidu urged the women to be united and contribute positively to the growth of the society.<\/p>\n

Welcoming the guests,<\/p>\n

“Distinguished guests, esteemed scholars, respected community leaders, and my dear sisters, It is a great honor and privilege to welcome you all to the opening of our 24 Annual Women’s Week 2024.<\/p>\n

“This gathering is a testament to our unity, our shared aspirations, and our commitment to empowering the Muslim woman as a force for societal safety and economic advancement. I am truly humbled to stand before such an inspiring assembly of women who are committed to strengthening our communities.<\/p>\n

The theme for this year, “Harnessing Potentials of Muslim Women as Catalysts for Societal Safety and Economic Development, speaks to the crucial role we play in society.<\/p>\n

The religion lslam, she acknowledged allows the women to seek for knowledge, participate actively and contribute to the well being of their families and society at large. Muslim women she stressed have the needed Potentials.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

“Muslim women possess immense potential to drive economic growth through entrepreneurship, professional skills, and local trade.<\/p>\n

“Muslim women are the backbone of our families and communities.<\/p>\n

Our economy is a reflection of the strength and resilience of our communities.<\/p>\n

“In the face of global challenges, many women are leading in industries ranging from agriculture and technology to education and healthcare.<\/p>\n

Hajia Sheidu challenged the women not to relent in their efforts in bringing about positive change.<\/p>\n

“Let us not be afraid to innovate and seek opportunities that align with our faith and values. Together, we can bridge economic gaps and lay down a legacy<\/p>\n

of prosperity for future generations.<\/p>\n

“We must continue to champion the cause of education, encouraging dialogue, foster peace. By participating in civic engagements, advocating for justice, and standing against violence and oppression, we can help build safe spaces for everyone.<\/p>\n

“By actively engaging in business, supporting each other’s ventures, and mentoring younger women, we can contribute to economic stability in ways that uplift not only our families but also the entire society.<\/p>\n

“As we work towards these goals, let us remember that no one should walk this path alone. Our strength is in our unity. Each of us has unique talents, skills, and resources that can benefit others.<\/p>\n

“As sisters in faith, we have a duty to support and uplift each other, to share opportunities, and to offer guidance where we can. Let this Women’s Week be a time for forging new partnerships, building networks, and encouraging one another to achieve our fullest potential.<\/p>\n

Believing in the abilities of her women, she urged that they keep NASFAT flag high.<\/p>\n

“Dear sisters, I am confident that we have the determination, the wisdom, and the faith to be the catalysts of positive change in our society. Let us leave this gathering with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to taking meaningful actions.<\/p>\n

“By harnessing our collective potential, we will contribute not only to our own empowerment but to the safety, prosperity, and spiritual growth of our communities. May Allah (SWT) bless our efforts, strengthen our resolve, and grant us success in all our endeavors.<\/p>\n

An erudite scholar Asst. Missioner, Austaz Abdulkareem Mustapha, member, NASFAT Missionary board, Kaduna Main Branch in his top provoking lecture spoke on the acceptability of Allah’s decree.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His inspirational lecture which bordered on acceptance of Allah’s decree was a re – awakening call to the congregation as to their dedication to the services of Allah,\u00a0 trust in Allah, and accepting the ‘will’ of Allah for Allah is All Knowing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Expatiating, he said, “the problems we have is that we don’t normally accept the decree of Allah, the judgement of Allah,\u00a0 the test from Allah, we do not normally agree with it. That is why we are having problems, the reason why we are facing challenges.<\/p>\n

He made reference to the story in the Quran, of Imran and his wife Hannah, a couple who were unable to have children for a long time.<\/p>\n

The couple went into fervent prayer asking Allah to bless them with a child, be it male or female. But unknown to them, the wife was already pregnant.<\/p>\n

When they both discovered, “Imr\u0101n\u2019s wife said, my Lord I have dedicated what is in my womb entirely to you, so accept it from me, verily you hear all and you know all [3:35].\u201d The child she promised will serve Allah.<\/p>\n

They both begged Allah for a male child.\u00a0 Reason being that Imran was a man of noble lineage, from the lineage of Prophets Solomon and David all the way up to Abraham [Ibn Kath\u012br].<\/p>\n

Eventually Allah gave them a daughter named Mary: (Maryam)<\/p>\n

Confused, when she delivered a girl instead of a boy whom she promised to serve God, she said, “my Lord verily I have delivered a female, it is Allah who is All Knowing as to what she had delivered, a male is not like a female, she said, verily I have named her Mary.”. ( Maryam)<\/p>\n

Because of her faith in Allah and accepting the decision of Allah, Allah the Exalted comforted her by informing her that despite the fact that she delivered a girl, whom she named Mary, Mary had a role to play, a role that no boy could fulfil.<\/p>\n

\u201cAllah, has chosen you and made you pure, He has truly chosen you above all women. Mary, be devout to your Lord, prostrate yourself in worship and bow down with those who pray [3:42-43].\u201d<\/p>\n

Moreover, she is the only woman named in the Quran. She is described as one of the greatest women of all time in the Quran as well.<\/p>\n

The lesson is that, “you may have a plan for something and Allah has different plan from what your plan is. Accept it, the erudite scholar advised.<\/p>\n

“You have to accept the plan of Allah because the plan of Allah is the best for you. You may not be happy with it but in future it will pay off.” He encouraged.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to house leaders in recognition of their dedications to the services of Allah.<\/p>\n

The following received award. Aisha House leader, Hajia Musilimat Bello Ahmed Atanda\u00a0 Fatima House leader, Hajia Maryam Yinus. Afsat House leader, Hajia Latifa Salaudeen\u00a0 Khadijah House leader, Hajia Mutiat Muhammed. Hajia Salamatu Yahaya and Abubakar House leader, Brother Shaheed Oyelami.<\/p>\n

Those absent were represented.<\/p>\n
