The Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, and the Police Officers Wives Association Kaduna Chapter have pledged to strengthen their collaboration.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This commitment was made when the Kaduna Chapter of Police Officers Wives Association led by its Chairperson, Hajia Bilkisu Ibrahim paid the Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu a courtesy visit in her office.<\/p>\n
According to the commissioner, working together have impacted positively on the society.<\/p>\n
In her remarks she said. \u201cOur ministry has been collaborating with the Police Officers\u2019 Wives Association to tackle social issues such as Gender-Based Violence, Women Economic Empowerment, Girl Child Education, and Youth Sensitization against Drug Abuse.<\/p>\n
This partnership she noted has yielded positive results in the past, and we aim to continue this progress.<\/p>\n
She emphasized, that the Ministry also intervenes\u00a0 in domestic violence , social or family issues, and other forms of child abuse cases, in addition have been working closely with the police to ensure these cases are taken to court promptly to ensure quick dispensation of Justice.<\/p>\n

She advocates for more collaboration and partnership with the Police Officers\u2019 Wives Association\u2019s in order to strengthen support services to the less privileged, women and other vulnerable groups. Together and with collective efforts can better serve our community.<\/p>\n
Rabi noted her long-standing relationship with the Commissioner of Police, which will further facilitate future collaboration.<\/p>\n
The Commissioner encouraged that regular meeting with\u00a0 the Police Officers\u2019 Wives Association be held to engage with youth to campaign against drug abuse especially in partnering with other MDAs such as\u00a0 KADBUSA to provide necessary resources.<\/p>\n
“By sensitizing our youth and equipping them with skills, we can curb drug abuse and related crimes.” She invited them to the Kaduna State Women\u2019s Summit to further discuss their shared goals.<\/p>\n
