NASFAT Kaduna Branch as part of its programme for its Women’s Week celebration had recognized and honored outstanding contributors, the elderly, and other members who have made significant contributions to the society.<\/p>\n

Among those recognized included the former Kaduna state Commissioner of Human services\u00a0 and Social Development hajiya Hafsat Muhammed Baba and former Commissioner of health, Kaduna state, Dr. Amina Baloni.<\/p>\n

In her welcome speech, The Women Affairs, Secretary, NASFAT Kaduna Branch, Hajia Medinat Salaudeen had expressed gratitude to all and sundry who made the journey smooth.<\/p>\n

“As we mark this significant occasion.<\/p>\n

Today, we gather to commemorate a milestone in our journey towards empowering women and promoting gender equality.<\/p>\n

“As we celebrate the harnessing potentials of Muslim women as catalysts for societal safety and economic development, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the women who have contributed to the growth and development of our society. Your resilience, determination, and courage have inspired us to strive for a better world.<\/p>\n

“This year’s theme is particularly relevant, as we recognize the vital role that Muslim women play in shaping the future of our communities. Their contributions to education, healthcare, and economic development are invaluable, and their leadership in promoting social justice and human rights is a beacon of hope for all of us.<\/p>\n

Hajia Medinat had described Muslim Women as source of strength and inspiration to the communities regardless of challenges faced.<\/p>\n

“They are leaders, innovators, and changemakers who are shaping the future of our world. And as we celebrate their potentials, we are reminded of the importance of creating a society that values and empowers all women, regardless of their background or faith.<\/p>\n

As we celebrate the achievements of Muslim women, we also acknowledged the challenges they’re facing. We recognized that they often face unique obstacles, including cultural and social barriers, that can limit their opportunities and hinder their progress.<\/p>\n

She challenged the women to stand bold in their quest to bringing about positive change to the society.<\/p>\n

“But this is not just a celebration of Muslim women; it is also a call to action. We are calling on everyone\u00a0 to join\u00a0 in promoting the empowerment of women and girls, and to work together to create a more just and equitable society.<\/div>\n

“So let us celebrate the potential of Muslim women, and let us work together to harness the God gift power to create a brighter future for all.<\/div>\n

“Let us continue to strive for a world where women are valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potentials.<\/div>\n

“As we celebrate, I urge all of us to continue working towards a more inclusive and equitable society. Let us commit ourselves in creating opportunities for women and girls to access education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.<\/div>\n

who gave some health tips on women’s mental health urged the elderly to remain healthy and safe by observing some healthy practices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“In old age let’s stay active. One of the ways is connect with family. Go for holiday, allow our grandchildren to visit us to keep you busy and keep one alive.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

“Elderly people should avoid falling down Let the house be well lit.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Avoid slippery shoes and avoid slippery tides.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Have good rug, and do not allow the edges to be folded.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She emphasized that the elderly are senior citizens and are needed to be kept safe and sound in order that they can be able to impact their wealth of experiences to the younger generation.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Elderly people she advised should keep their weights in check and should ensure that they have up to 6- 8hrs sleep daily.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Take a lot of water because at that stage one hardly feels tasty. Always take water even when you are not tasty, it will help, she urged.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“As an elder, you need to reduce your intake of salt. Ensure that you go for regular check – up.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Be grateful to Allah and be positive in your thinking because it will give you a\u00a0 psychologically boost. She sounded.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
