Kaduna State Council congratulates Comrade Alhassan Yahya over triumphant emergence as NUJ president<\/p>\n

Kaduna State Council of the union has joined other councils and affiliated bodies in congratulating, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya over his triumphant emergence as the president of the union.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued and signed by the kaduna State Council Secretary, Comrade Gambo Santos Sanga, “the election of Alhassan Yahaya and his Deputy, Dr Abimbola Oyetunde is a reflection of the wishes of the majority of delegates\u00a0 and members of the union across the country.<\/p>\n

The Statement also commended the resilience and exemplary sacrifices demonstrated by the teaming delegates of the union as symbolic towards opening a new chapter for the development of the union in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

“It however, enjoined other candidates on the election to eschew bitterness by way of\u00a0 supporting and cooperating with the new national president of the union in the overall interest of peace,unity and meaningful growth of the union.<\/p>\n

“It also expressed confidence on the tested ability and capacity of the new national president of NUJ towards a rapid transformation for the overall benefits of members across the country.<\/p>\n

The kaduna State Council wishes the new president God guidance, more\u00a0 wisdom and the tenacity to lead the union to another level of greatness.<\/p>\n

Until his emergence as the president of NUJ, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya until was at various times secretary and\u00a0 Chairman of Gombe state Council, Zonal vice president as well as a Deputy President of the union.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the same vein, Comrade Garba Muhammad, a co- contestant in the presidential race,\u00a0 has congratulated the newly elected president comrade Alhassan Yahaya for his victory at the just concluded\u00a0 election.<\/p>\n

According to the statement dated, 27th, November, 2024,<\/p>\n

“On behalf of the Garba Muhammad for NUJ Presidency 2024 Campaign Organization, I wish to, from the bottom of my heart, congratulate my brother, friend, and colleague, Comrade Alhassan Yahya, on his election as President of our great Union.<\/div>\n

“I particularly commend Mr. President’s tenacity, sense of purpose and magnanimity in victory.<\/div>\n

“I commit myself and entire campaign organization to working with Comrade Yahya towards reinvigorating the NUJ for better performance and for fulfilling its role as the fourth estate of the realm.<\/div>\n

Also, Sokoto State Council in a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Dalhatu Abdullahi and Council Secretary, Muhammad Nasir Bello, on behalf of its members commends the successful transition from Comrade Chief Chris Usiguzor to Comrade\u00a0 Alhassan Yahaya.<\/p>\n

According to the statement,<\/p>\n

“The Sokoto State Council warmly congratulates the former NUJ President, Chief Chris Isiguzor, for the successful conduct of the 2024 Triennial Delegate Conference held in Owerri, Imo State.<\/p>\n

“This remarkable event culminated in the overwhelming victory of the former Deputy National President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya.<\/p>\n

“The victory of Comrade Alhassan Yahaya is a well-deserved and historic milestone, as the North East Zone makes history by producing a President for the first time in our great union\u2019s records.<\/p>\n

“We applaud Comrade Isiguzor for his exemplary leadership, meticulous planning, and dedication throughout the process, ensuring that this election stands as the most credible and successful transition in NUJ\u2019s history. Congratulations on this monumental achievement!<\/p>\n

“As the Sokoto Council prays for Allah\u2019s guidance and blessings upon the leadership of Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, we also extend heartfelt congratulations to the Imo State Council for successfully hosting the 8th Triennial Delegate Conference, tagged \u201cOwerri 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Our commendation also goes to the Credentials Committee for their outstanding work in ensuring a transparent and seamless process.<\/p>\n

“We urge the entire NUJ family to extend unwavering support and cooperation to the new leadership, particularly to those who contested alongside Comrade Alhassan Yahaya.<\/p>\n

“We encourage everyone to accept the collective judgment of NUJ members in good faith and work together to further elevate our union\u2019s standing in Nigeria and beyond.<\/p>\n
