NASFAT Kaduna Zone has\u00a0 inaugurated newly elected officers that will run the affairs of NASFAT Zaria branch.<\/p>\n

The event which took place at their premises Sunday, the 27th April, 2025, had the presence of the Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Shaheed Popoola Gambari and his executive members who took charge of the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Speaking, the Zonal Chairman\u00a0 appreciated the outgone executives for their contributions and support praying\u00a0 that Allah reward their efforts.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
He urged officers coming on board to give their best to the services of Allah by playing their roles conscientiously for the growth of the society.<\/div>\n

NASFAT he emphasised is ‘one’ and should be reflected while discharging their responsibilities. He prayed for a successful completion of their tenure as they took their oats of office.<\/div>\n

The Acting Zonal Missioner Imam Maruf Alabi prayed for the new executives. He urged them to discharge their responsibilities with the fear of Allah. To be fair and just, because according to him, the opportunity to\u00a0 serve is a test from Allah, and that everyone will account for their stewardship on the day of reckoning.<\/div>\n

He charged the Chairman to encourage the spirit of oneness, accord blames and praises to whomever is due for better results.<\/div>\n

Imam Alabi used the opportunity to appreciate the leadership role of the Zonal Chairman Alhaji Shaheed Popoola Gambari which he said is commendable.<\/div>\n
He called for continuous support of the zonal executives and every member in order to move the society forward.<\/div>\n

Earlier in his welcome address, Zaria Branch elders Committee’s Chairman, Prof.\u00a0 K. A Bello also acknowledged the good work of the zonal chairman and his team towards ensuring quality leadership.<\/p>\n

He pledged the continuous support of NASFAT Zaria Branch.<\/p>\n

The professor in his lecture titled, Attributes of a good\u00a0 leader\/Responsibilities enumerated some leadership qualities and responsibilities expected from a good leader.<\/p>\n

Some of these qualities includes, the leader being very intelligent, having the ability to analyse problems and take informed decisions.\u00a0 He must be god-fearing and very hardworking. A leader must have good human relationship. Be able to carry along everyone , fair and just and be able to motivate those around him. Motivation he stressed does not have to be only in monetary form.<\/p>\n

Professor Bello explained further. To be able to achieve the best as a leader, there must be effective communication. Not just that, the communication must consider the target audience, those that is being directed to in order to achieve results. A leader must also be cognisance of choice of words. He added.<\/p>\n

He\/she should be able to have focus, plan ahead for the future, be transparent and accountable.<\/p>\n

A leader should be able to guide the followers as well as delegate functions to capable hands because he\/she cannot do it alone.<\/p>\n

During the interactive session the Zonal Secretary, Shoyomi Babajide Abdulazeez threw more lights on some questions which needed administrative clarity. He urged the the Excos to always have the leverage to ask questions on dark areas in order to move the society to greater heights. He noted that some issues are being misunderstood thus advised that every executive member has NASFAT constitution. Not only having the constitution but conversant with it for better operation of their tasks.<\/p>\n

Contributing, NASFAT Zaria Branch Chairman Engr. Lawal AbdulAkeem Oyeyemi while appreciating the zone in its leadership drive commended NASFAT headquarters spirit of oneness which he acknowledged has always been there and still being demonstrated under the leadership of the present NASFAT\u00a0 President Worldwide, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf. He sighted instances whereby their plights were given attention by the headquarters.<\/p>\n

He called on members to give their supports by being good ambassadors of NASFAT.<\/p>\n

The Zonal Financial Secretary, Alhaji Ismail Shuaibu in a bid to strengthening his finance team as well as enlighten members gave some brief on what finance is all about and the expectations from the financial team in relation to their job.<\/p>\n

NASFAT he reminded is a society built on transparency and finance happens to be one of the key areas to achieving this.<\/p>\n

The most important duty of the financial Secretary he noted is the Financial Record Keeping and Documentations. That is, ensuring proper documentation and record keeping of all financial transaction of the branch.<\/p>\n

While appreciating the efforts of the outgone finance team, more he said is needed to be done particularly in the area of timely submission of financial reports.<\/p>\n

He urged the newly elected financial secretary and her team to work assiduously to improve on grey areas and ensuring timely submission of financial reports. Timely submission of financial reports will enhance better planning, he emphasised.<\/p>\n

Altogether, 22 executives were sworn in and inaugurated.<\/p>\n
