The United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF) has told Al Jazeera that Israel\u2019s actions in Gaza are a \u201cwar on children\u201d amid a surge in acute malnutrition among young people in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

At least 120 Palestinians have been killed and 474 injured in Israeli attacks across Gaza in the past 24 hours, according to the enclave\u2019s Health Ministry. Three bodies of those killed previously were also recovered from the rubble.<\/p>\n

At least 57 aid seekers were killed and more than 363 injured by Israel since this morning, bringing the total number of people killed at aid distribution centres to 224, with 1,858 others injured, the ministry added.<\/p>\n

The Israeli military has admitted its troops fired \u201cwarning shots\u201d in the area of the Netzarim Corridor, where the majority of aid seekers were reported killed overnight, adding that it is \u201caware of reports regarding individuals injured, the details are under review\u201d.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s war on Gaza has killed at least 55,104 Palestinians and wounded 127,394, according to the Health Ministry.<\/p>\n

An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks of October 7, 2023, and more than 200 were taken captive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
