United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has slammed Gaza Aid Distribution Mechanism.<\/p>\n
The mechanism it said has cursed more harm than good.<\/p>\n

The UNRWA chief, Philippe Lazzarini told the Caux Democracy Forum that \u201cnowhere [in Gaza] is safe\u201d, condemning the distribution of aid under the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) as \u201ccosting more lives than it saves\u201d.<\/p>\n
More than 55,000 people he said have been reported killed in Gaza, \u201cmostly women and children\u201d, and accused Israel of \u201cweaponising humanitarian assistance\u201d.<\/p>\n
Lazzarini said the GHF has replaced what he described as the \u201cprincipled\u201d United Nations-led effort, adding that the new system forces starving Palestinians to \u201cwalk for miles, and stand for hours in wired enclosures, in blistering heat\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cThey are shot at, and hundreds have been killed and injured.\u201d<\/p>\n UNRWA itself has lost more than 320 staff and seen most of its buildings destroyed since the start of the war, he said.
