Tokyo 2025: Amusan holds second\u00a0 world title in 100m Hurdles<\/p>\n

Nigeria’s sprint hurdler, Tobi Amusan, has won the silver medal in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian world record holder ran clocking an impressive 12.29 seconds to take second place, giving Nigeria its first medal of the tournament.<\/p>\n

She had a slow start out of the blocks but showed her trademark strength in the final stages, almost catching the winner.<\/p>\n

Switzerland\u2019s Ditaji Kambundji claimed the gold medal with a new national record of 12.24 seconds.<\/p>\n

American Grace Stark claimed bronze in 12.34sec.<\/p>\n

Olympic champion Masai Russell of the USA finished fourth in 12.44 seconds.<\/p>\n

Pia Skrzyszowska of Poland and Devynne Charlton of the Bahamas both ran seasonal bests of 12.49 seconds while<\/p>\n

Jamaica\u2019s Danielle Williams came seventh in 12.53 seconds, and Nadine Visser of the Netherlands was eighth in 12.56 seconds.<\/p>\n
