ICPC Names John Okor Odey as New Spokesperson<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has announced the appointment of Deputy Director John Okor Odey\u00a0as its new Spokesperson, marking a fresh phase in the Commission\u2019s communication strategy.<\/p>\n

The announcement was made in an official statement signed by Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu Secretary to the Commission.<\/p>\n

Odey takes over from Mr. Demola Bakare, fsi,\u00a0and will lead the Commission\u2019s newly created\u00a0Media and Public Communications Unit<\/em>\u00a0under the Office of the Honourable Chairman.<\/p>\n

According to the ICPC, the establishment of this unit is aimed at boosting strategic communication, improving public engagement, and strengthening ongoing efforts to promote transparency and deepen public trust in the Commission\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n

The Commission described Odey\u2019s experience in media, communication, and public relations as a major asset that will enhance ICPC\u2019s visibility and support its anti-corruption mission nationwide.<\/p>\n

Before joining the ICPC, Odey worked as an editor, scriptwriter, and broadcast presenter. Within the Commission, he has served in the Public Enlightenment Department, the Protocol Unit, and Zonal Operations\u2014roles that have shaped his extensive professional outlook.<\/p>\n

He holds a degree in English\/Literature, a Master\u2019s Degree in Leadership Studies, and an MPhil in Leadership and Strategic Studies. In addition, he has a Professional Diploma in Public Relations and is a certified member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).<\/p>\n

Odey\u2019s appointment is expected to further solidify the Commission\u2019s communication framework and enhance its engagement with stakeholders across the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
