Gov Radda Receives 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem, Reaffirms Support for Veterans<\/p>\n

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has been decorated with the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem by the Nigerian Legion, in recognition of the sacrifices of serving and retired military personnel.<\/p>\n

The emblem was presented to the Governor on Wednesday at the Government House, Katsina, by the Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Katsina State Chapter, Warrant Officer Ahmad Husaini (rtd).<\/p>\n

The decoration followed the national launch of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on December 2, 2025.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, Warrant Officer Husaini appealed to the Governor to support the renovation of the Legion\u2019s state office and the provision of essential equipment to enhance its operations.<\/p>\n

In his response, Governor Radda directed the Chairman of the Legion to liaise with the Commissioner for Rural Development to facilitate the renovation of the office.<\/p>\n

He further reassured members of the Legion of his administration\u2019s unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of retired military personnel in the state.<\/p>\n

The decoration forms part of activities marking the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration, an annual event dedicated to honouring and remembering the gallantry and sacrifices of Nigeria\u2019s serving and retired members of the armed forces.<\/p>\n
