The Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Doka Branch in Kaduna, has reiterated the spiritual, moral, and social significance of the hijab, urging Muslim women to wear it with pride as a clear expression of faith and obedience to Allah.<\/div>\n

Speaking at the 2026 World Hijab Day celebration, the society emphasized that the hijab is far more than a cultural symbol. It is an act of worship, a command from Allah, a source of dignity, and a defining mark of a Muslim woman\u2019s identity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
NASFAT noted that the hijab represen\"\"ts modesty (haya), inner beauty, and empowerment, encouraging women to be judged by their character, intelligence, and values rather than physical appearance.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Declaring the event open, the Women Affairs Secretary of NASFAT Doka Branch, Hajiya Bashira Seidu, called on Muslim women to uphold the divine commandments by embracing modesty and safeguarding their moral integrity. She described the hijab as a symbol of faith that unites Muslim women across cultures, languages, and backgrounds as members of the global ummah.<\/div>\n

\u201cAs we mark this special day, we celebrate the hijab as a symbol of our faith, modesty, and shared identity as Muslim women devoted to Allah,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n

\u201cThe hijab binds us together, reminding us of our collective responsibility to uphold the values of piety, unity, and knowledge.\u201d<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
She expressed appreciation to guests, speakers, and participants for their presence, describing it as a testament to shared values and commitment to Islam. Quoting a hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah, she reminded the audience that Allah is pleased when believers worship Him alone without associating partners, urging Muslim women to let the hijab reflect sincere worship from both the heart and mind.<\/div>\n

The programme featured a thought-provoking lecture and active participation from youths, who highlighted the proper guidelines of hijab. They explained that a proper hijab should cover the hair, neck, and chest, be loose-fitting, non-transparent, and modest, avoiding styles meant to attract undue attention.<\/div>\n

While acknowledging modern fashion trends, they stressed that the primary purpose of hijab remains spiritual modesty, not display.<\/div>\n

The speakers also expressed concern over the misuse of the hijab by some women for ungodly acts, condemning such practices as harmful to the dignity of the hijab and the image of Islam. They noted that in a diverse world, the hijab serves as a proud and silent declaration of Muslim identity, offering women a sense of security, independence, and connection to their community.<\/div>\n

In his remarks, the Chairman of NASFAT Doka Branch, Hon. Musbau Adepoju, commended the youths for their insightful contributions, explaining that their inclusion was intentional to groom future leaders grounded in faith. He urged them to remain steadfast, committed, and proactive in the service of Allah.<\/div>\n

The event concluded with prayers for guidance, unity, and renewed commitment to the values of modesty and devotion, as NASFAT officially marked the 2026 World Hijab Day celebration.<\/div>\n
