The President of the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Alhaji Ayodeji Abdulwahid Abdulrauf, has urged Muslim youths to uphold the core Islamic values of integrity, honesty, and responsibility as they navigate the complexities of the modern world.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He gave this charge during the 19th Annual NASFAT National Youth Conference (NYC) 2026, themed \u201cThe Empowered Ummah: Faith, Technology & Youth Leadership for National Progress,\u201d held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Addressing participants, the NASFAT President emphasized that embracing technology is not separate from faith but rather an extension of it when used positively.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
He encouraged youths to remain morally grounded while exploring opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and social media engagement.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Describing Nigeria as being at a critical juncture, Abdulrauf noted that challenges such as economic uncertainty, social inequality, and moral decline require a new generation of principled, competent, and visionary leaders.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He stressed that leadership is rooted in responsibility, service, and sacrifice, urging youths to take active roles in shaping the nation\u2019s future.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cYou are not the leaders of tomorrow, but the leaders of today,\u201d he declared, encouraging participants to lead within their communities, campuses, and workplaces while serving as ambassadors of peace, unity, and progress.<\/div>\n

The four-day conference, held from April 2 to April 5, 2026, attracted hundreds of young Muslims from across Nigeria and the diaspora. It featured discussions on technology adoption, leadership development, financial literacy, and strategies for navigating modern challenges.<\/div>\n

In her remarks, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Oyedele Salako-Oyeleke, commended NASFAT for its commitment to youth empowerment and charged participants to reflect exemplary character and apply the lessons learned.<\/div>\n

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Jubril Salaudeen highlighted the importance of skill acquisition, monetizing digital competencies, and ethical leadership in today\u2019s competitive world.<\/div>\n

Scholars and speakers at the event, including Hajia Maryam Lemu, Hon. Abdul Hakeem Abdullateef, Alhaji Kazeem Adewale Noibi, and Sheikh Jamiu Ajadi Sanusi, addressed pressing issues affecting Muslim youths.<\/div>\n

They emphasized the need for spiritual consciousness (Taqwah), responsible use of social media, and a deeper understanding of the Qur\u2019an as a guide for personal transformation.<\/div>\n

Speaking on digital morality, Hon. Abdul Hakeem Abdullateef,\u00a0cautioned against the dangers of social media misuse, urging youths to pursue knowledge and avoid content that promotes immorality.<\/div>\n

“What you follow on social media determines what you are. Use the social media judiciously, to improve yourself.”<\/div>\n

He stressed that understanding the Qur\u2019an is essential for meaningful change and righteous living.<\/div>\n

NASFAT Chief Missioner, Imam Abdul-Azeez Onike, provided spiritual guidance throughout the conference, underscoring the importance of combining technological advancement with strong moral character (Akhlaq). He reiterated the need for faith-driven leadership in national development.<\/div>\n

The conference also featured practical sessions on artificial intelligence and its ethical application, alongside empowerment outreach initiatives aimed at supporting communities.<\/div>\n
