University of London Honours NASFAT as SOAS Pledges Support for Fountain, Summit Universities<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society has received international commendation following a high-level engagement at the SOAS University of London, where discussions centred on advancing Islamic-oriented education in Nigeria.<\/div>\n

The immediate past Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Amidu Olalekan Sanni, visited the Vice Chancellor of SOAS, Adam Habib, at his London office during the week.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In a press release signed by NASFAT President Worldwide, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf,<\/div>\n
“The meeting explored opportunities for technical and intellectual collaboration to strengthen Islamic-based universities in Nigeria, particularly Fountain University and Summit University.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
As part of the engagement, Professor Sanni presented a copy of NASFAT\u2019s 25-year historical publication, highlighting the organisation\u2019s contributions to Islamic development and education.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In his response, Professor Habib praised NASFAT for its remarkable progress over the past quarter-century, noting its role in promoting a positive image of Islam both locally and internationally.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
He particularly commended the establishment of Fountain University, describing it as a reflection of the society\u2019s commitment to human capital development for both Muslim and non-Muslim youth across Nigeria.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Professor Habib further acknowledged the growing reputation of Fountain University, citing its recognition in global academic rankings such as the UK Times Higher Education profiling.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He pledged support for the institution in key areas including collaboration, networking, and academic partnerships.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Extending his remarks, the SOAS Vice Chancellor also reaffirmed his commitment to Summit University, recalling his goodwill message at the institution\u2019s inaugural convocation ceremony in 2024.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
He encouraged both universities to see themselves as partners in delivering quality education, particularly for underserved populations.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Professor Habib also expressed readiness to strengthen ties with NASFAT and its affiliated institutions, revealing plans to visit Nigeria later in the year to further deepen collaboration.<\/div>\n

Professor Sanni was accompanied on the visit by Kunle Yusuff, Executive Secretary\/CEO of the Institute of Negotiators, Community and Social Development Experts (INCOS-DE), and Sheikh Abdul Hakeem Omotosho, Imam of Camberwell Islamic Centre, Jamatu Islamiyya Nigeria.<\/div>\n

They were received alongside senior SOAS officials, including Shona Aitken, Director of Advancement and Chief of Staff to the Vice Chancellor, and Alejandra Regazzi, Head of Supporter Engagement.<\/div>\n

The engagement marks a significant step in positioning NASFAT\u2019s educational institutions on the global stage while fostering international partnerships aimed at improving access to quality education in Nigeria.<\/div>\n
