11th Biennial Missioners\u2019 Conference: Over 260 Imams, Diplomats, Government Officials Converge in Benin Republic<\/p>\n

More than 260 Imams, alongside over 20 eminent personalities, diplomats and senior government officials from Nigeria and the Republic of Benin, are expected to converge on the Republic of Benin for the 11th Biennial Missioners\u2019 Conference of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT).<\/p>\n

The three-day conference, scheduled for Friday, August 21, to Sunday, August 23, 2026, marks a significant milestone in the history of the organisation, as it is the first time the NASFAT Biennial Missioners\u2019 Conference will be held outside Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The conference is expected to provide a platform for robust discussions, knowledge-sharing and capacity building among NASFAT missioners, with a focus on equipping them with the skills and perspectives required to effectively respond to the demands of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

With the theme centred on strengthening the role and effectiveness of Imams, the conference will provide opportunities for participants to learn, unlearn and relearn ideas capable of contributing to the continued growth and development of NASFAT and the wider Muslim community.
\nImams occupy a pivotal position in an Islamic organisation, and their conduct, knowledge and leadership can significantly influence the growth and public image of the organisation.<\/p>\n

Missioners from almost all 36 states of the federation, as well as representatives from the Republic of Benin, Ghana, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo and other countries, are expected to participate in the conference.<\/p>\n

The main conference lecture will be delivered by veteran researcher and consummate speaker, Dr Jibril Salahudeen.
\nThe syndicate sessions will focus on the concerns, challenges and welfare of Imams, providing participants with an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and develop practical solutions to issues affecting their roles and responsibilities.<\/p>\n

The conference is also expected to facilitate the exchange of ideas, experiences and insights that will have a lasting impact on participating missioners and their communities.<\/p>\n

Among the delegates from Kaduna Zone are the Zonal Missioner, Imam Maruf Alabi; Deputy Zonal Missioner and Lead Missioner of NASFAT Doka Branch, Imam Kabir Muhammad Uthman; and Lead Missioner of NASFAT Kaduna Main Branch, Imam Abdulkareem Mustapha.<\/p>\n

According to a statement signed by NASFAT National Da\u2018wah Officer, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyy Raji, participants from Nigeria have travelled to the Republic of Benin, where members of NASFAT in the country are set to receive and host them.<\/p>\n

The Conference Committee, led by Barrister Uthman Jaji, has also been commended for its efforts towards ensuring the success of the historic gathering.<\/p>\n

The conference is expected to strengthen collaboration among NASFAT missioners across countries while providing a platform for renewed commitment to effective Islamic leadership and community development.<\/p>\n
