NUJ Kaduna Commends\u00a0 KDSG on Issue\u00a0 of Security<\/strong><\/div>\n

Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has commended the Governor\u00a0 of Kaduna state Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for taking proactive\u00a0 measures in finding solution to the lingering security problem in the state.<\/div>\n
This commendation was given in a communique issued at the end of its 3rd Congress held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat which was presided by\u00a0the\u00a0Council Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf.<\/div>\n
Noticeable improvements the congress acknowledged has been made in the area of security.<\/div>\n

The Communique signed by the Council Secretary, Comrade John Femi Adi,\u00a0after the Congress had deliberated extensively on several other issues bordering on the union,\u00a0 State, as well as the nation reads as follows:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\u00a0It commended Kaduna State Government for taking proactive measures to address the insecurity and other forms of criminality in the State and urged that it should be sustained.<\/div>\n
The Congress also commended Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai for elevating its colleague, Mr Samuel Aruwan from Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Honourable Commissioner, Internal Security and Home Affairs. It appealed that the Governor extends more of such appointments to Journalists in the state.<\/div>\n
Kaduna State Government has also been commended for the award of road projects which the congress believes would help in opening up the state; but advised that the government places priority also on welfare of her citizens.<\/div>\n
For the 2019 Press Week, a 7-Man Press Week \/Fund Raising Committee was inaugurated with the Council Vice Chairman, Malam Sabiu Mohammed as Chairman\u00a0 while Comrade Isaiah Benjamin is to serve as Secretary.<\/div>\n
Other members are, Hajiya Daharatu Aliyu, Comrade John Femi Adi, Council Secretary , Hajiya Farida Abubakar, Mrs Juliet Oyoyo and Hajiya Fatima Aliyu.<\/div>\n
However,\u00a0 members were charged to begin to think outside the box in order to engage in entrepreneurial ventures that would better their lives even after leaving the journalism profession.<\/div>\n
