National Youth Games: Kaduna Outshines North West Zone, \u2013Claims 10 Out Of 16 Tickets

\nKaduna North-West Nigeria:
\nTeam Kaduna blazed off with a perfect spirit ahead of the National Youth Games (NYG) billed for Ilorin, Kwara State next month, by claiming 10 out of the 16 tickets available for team sports from the North West Zone.
\nKaduna claimed both male and female tickets for Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Hockey and Football, making it eight clean sweeps in both categories.
\nTeam Kaduna also smiled away with tickets in female Handball and male Cricket, leaving other six states to settle for the six remaining tickets.
\nJigawa won the male basketball and female cricket tickets, Sokoto settled for boys Handball and Kano claimed boys Rugby ticket.
\nFemale hockey and female rugby are two events that the zone would not be featuring because no state fielded teams at the eliminations.
\nThe Zonal eliminations which lasted for two days was held at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium and supervised by the Zonal Coordinator, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Olusola Luke who ensured, proper screening was held to ensure only eligible athletes featured.
\nThose that finished first in all the events featured would be representing the zone at the University of Ilorin, venue of the Youth Games, which has hosted previous three editions.
\nThe maiden edition was in Abuja.
