{"id":3522,"date":"2019-10-29T20:04:30","date_gmt":"2019-10-29T20:04:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=3522"},"modified":"2019-10-29T20:07:50","modified_gmt":"2019-10-29T20:07:50","slug":"bauchi-state-governor-bala-abdulkadir-mohammed-constitutes-17-man-committee-over-salaries-pension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=3522","title":{"rendered":"Bauchi State Governor\u00a0Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed,\u00a0Constitutes 17-Man Committee Over Salaries, Pension"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Bauchi State Governor\u00a0Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed,\u00a0Constitutes 17-Man Committee Over Salaries, Pension<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>From; Segun Awofadeji, Bauchi<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Bauchi State Governor, Senator\u00a0 Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has constituted\u00a0 a 17-Man Committee to investigate the reasons for the non-possession of Bank Verification Numbers by 41, 448 civil servants and Pensioners in the state.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, Comrade Muktar Gidado, who disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the Government House, Bauchi yesterday said, Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba is to Chair the Committee.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Comrade Muktar Gidado, listed members of the Committee as, the Governor\u2019s Special Adviser on Civil Service, Mr Abdon Dalla Gin, representative of the State Civil Service Commission, representative of the State Accountant General, Chairman, Bauchi State House of Assembly Committee on Public Service, Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, and Executive Chairman, Primary Healthcare Development Agency.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Others, according to the SSA are, representative of the Auditor General both that of the State and Local Government, representative of the State Commissioner of Police, representative of the Director, Department of State Services, State NLC Chairman, and State TUC Chairman.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>The rest include, the State Chairman, Negotiation Joint Council, State Chairman Nigeria Union of Local Employees, State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers while Director Establishment, Office of the Head of Civil Service is to serve as Secretary of the Committee.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Muktar Gidado said, the terms of reference for the committee includes, to ascertain whether those without the BVN are bonafide Staff and Pensioners of the state government and to identify why they were being paid without the Bank Verification Numbers, to identify Government and Bank officials involved in the perpetration of these infractions and recommend appropriate sections against the officials.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Muktar noted that, in the course of its assignment, the committee should recommend to the state government for the payment of salaries and pensions of those cleared as having duly authentic BVN and make any recommendations incidental to their assignment.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>The Governor\u2019s Senior Special Assistant on Media said the committee was mandated to submit its report within two weeks.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>To ensure a hitch free and timely completion of the assignment, Gidado appealed to all affected Civil Servants and Pensioners to give their maximum cooperation.<\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bauchi State Governor\u00a0Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed,\u00a0Constitutes 17-Man Committee Over Salaries, Pension From; Segun Awofadeji, Bauchi Bauchi State Governor, Senator\u00a0 Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has constituted\u00a0 a 17-Man Committee to investigate the reasons for the non-possession of Bank Verification Numbers by 41, 448 civil servants and Pensioners in the state.
