Kaduna State House of Assembly Confirms El-Rufai\u2019s Nominee<\/p>\n

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has in an emergency seating, on Wednesday screened and confirmed Governor El-Rufai\u2019s nominee for the appointment of Commissioner for Water Resource.<\/p>\n
The confirmation of the commissioner followed a motion moved by Kassim Illiyasu Alisawa \u00a0representing Zaria city which was seconded by Bashir \u00a0Gateri Idris representing Lere West constituency.<\/p>\n
Speaking after being sworn in by the governor in an interview shortly after his confirmation by the house, the new commissioner, Dr. Ibrahim Hamza, a former Director General Kaduna State Facility Management Agency, (KADFAMA) who took over from Engr. Suleman Aliyu Lere said, priority attention would be directed to perennial water shortages being experienced in Zaria and other areas across the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we all know, government is a continuous process. Just recently, there had been a pr-commissioning of the Zaria water project.\u00a0 In my capacity as the new commissioner for water resources, I hope and intend to continue with the good job of the former person in charge of water resources and ensuring adequate water supply.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Chairman House Committee on Information, Nuhu Goro in his own words had charged the new commissioner to live up to expectation as well as ensure the completion of the water project.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe urge you to as soon as funds are made available ensure the completion of the project in order that each local government has portable water\u201d.<\/p>\n
