Wind of uncertainty now looms the air\u00a0 as one faction of Sports Writers Association SWAN dragged NUJ to court.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
The Honour Sirawoo Nornubari, Mohammed Sani Zaria\u00a0 and Steve Alabi led faction of Sports Writers Association\u00a0 yesterday dragged\u00a0 the Nigeria Union Of Journalists NUJ\u00a0 together with Kaduna State SWAN\u00a0 Chairman, Jacob Zango and SWAN Secretary, Abdulwaheed Adubi, to Magistrate Court in Kaduna. <\/strong><\/div>\n
An action\u00a0 which contravenes the union’s constitution.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The Honour Sirawoo led group went to court under the umbrella of The Registered Trustees of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria last week Tuesday, 14th January, 2020 trying to stop the Kaduna State SWAN elections when they brandished court order stoping the NUJ Kaduna State Council from holding and discussing SWAN issues in its congresses.<\/strong><\/div>\n
When the case came up for mentioning today, Monday, at the Magistrate Court, Barnawa, Kaduna State the presiding Chief Magistrate said he never issued any order restraining NUJ or SWAN from holding their meetings.<\/strong><\/div>\n
At this juncture, the NUJ lawyer, Barrister Desmond Tabakwot requested for a date to enable him study his clients brief and the case was adjourned to 12th February, 2920.<\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
