The President of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Comrade Ahmed Aigbona has assured the Edo State Government of massive coverage of the 20th National Sports Festival billed for March and April 2020.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He also assured Obaseki’s led administration of SWAN’s unalloyed support for the success of the festival.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This was contained in a statement signed by the President of the Association, and made available to Kaduna State SWAN led by Comrade Jacob Zango and Comrade Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi at the weekend.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the statement, Aigbona stated that National Secretariat of SWAN is aware of the plan by the Edo Government to organise a befitting National Sports Festival of international standard, which according to him is commendable.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The statement described the Local Organising Committee, headed by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Philip Shaibu as the best choice for the job.<\/strong><\/div>\n

” Our priority as Sports Writers, beyond reporting sporting events, is to also encourage political leaders and other relevant stakeholders to invest heavily in sports. All over the world, sports has been described as a veritable tool for achieving unity, peace and development”, Aigbona stated.<\/strong><\/div>\n
