Eight Recent Projects: Pace Of Progress Overwhelms Governor Zulum<\/strong><\/div>\n

Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum was yesterday excited with progress and quality of 8 ongoing capital projects started last month in the state.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The projects were mostly on housing, education and healthcare.<\/strong><\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
Zulum, toured the sites of the projects in parts of Maiduguri and Jere local <\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
government areas on Wednesday in private convoy of few aides during which he directed that all the projects be delivered before May 29, 2020.<\/strong><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
Zulum started his visits with the University of Maiduguri to inspect progress of 50 units of one-bedroom houses for junior staff as part of the state government\u2019s intervention to increase <\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

\"\"staff housing at the University.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
<\/div>\n
The Borno Governor was at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, where he assessed an auditorium with capacity to accommodate 1,080 persons, which is an intervention project being constructed by the state government in fulfillment of promise made following the hospital management\u2019s request. The auditorium is to have capacity for 1,000 participants of healthcare events.<\/strong><\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
Zulum was also at the 48-bed Maternity Hospital at Abbaganaram community and another 30-bed expansion work at Yerwa Marternity Hospital to assess the progress of the projects.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Other projects assessed by the Governor were construction of new blocks of classrooms at Gwange 2 Primary School <\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
and continuation of 60-classrooms mega school started by the Kashim Shettima administration near the Palace of the Shehu of Borno.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The governor also during the assessment, was at a new complex of the Borno State Library Board designed to accommodate 700 readers and researchers. He also inspected a new office complex being built for the state\u2019s investment coordination body.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n

Zulum expressed satisfaction with the quality and the level of work in all the places visited.<\/strong><\/div>\n
