Caleb Danladi Foundation as a result<\/strong><\/div>\n
of the Covid-19 pandemic ravaging Nigeria and the world at large\u00a0has commenced first phase of distribution of\u00a0 food items worth thousands of naira to two orphanage homes and\u00a0 selected widows in the Southern part of the State.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n

This it said is aimed to\u00a0cushion the effect of the curfew imposed on Kaduna State.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
The distribution of the food items started at Ungwan Rana Daddy, then proceeded to Gyabhyih Shezhi Daddu Orphanage home, Hope Pillar Church Foundation in Jaba local government and Afana Bajju Community in Zangon Kataf Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.<\/strong><\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
While speaking, the Founder of Caleb Danladi Foundation, Captain Caleb Danladi, observed that the gesture became imperative following the perilous time, owing to the negative effect the restriction of movement might have on the people, especially those living through daily earnings.<\/strong><\/div>\n
He said: \u201cIn this period, we understand that the partial lockdown in activities will affect some households. There are some people that are daily earners and it might be hard for them to make both ends meet.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
“That is why we thought it wise as a Foundation to use our resources to give back to the Society from the little we have. At least to 600 families in Southern part of our State.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to Danladi, the distribution will extend to other parts of the region, adding that he just started with Jaba and Zangon Kataf Local governments.<\/strong><\/div>\n
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke had <\/strong><\/div>\n

expressed their appreciation over the\u00a0 gesture which they said was timely especially at this crucial period when the people are in dear need.<\/strong><\/div>\n

\u201cProviding palliative measures to cushion the effect of hardship of the partial lockdown in the state, is the best thing that has happened to us. Particularly some of us who cannot afford anything at this time,\u201d Mrs Abigail Kato said, adding, \u201cWe want to sincerely thank you for this initiative at this crucial time that we all found ourselves. I must say I am really impressed with the gesture towards us.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cWe are calling on the government to note that at this time, that there is nothing that is too small and noting that is too big in time of this emergency. The government is saddled with the responsibility to provide for the needy.” She stressed.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The coordinator of the Foundation, Mr. Habila Kayit, said:<\/strong><\/div>\n

\u201cThe Foundation has ensured that the people engaged in the distribution of the food items are just and fair.<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u201cWe are also working hard to partner with other NGOs to address issues of emergency and food security in a bid to ensure that there is no food security problem in the region during this period,\u201d he disclosed.<\/strong><\/div>\n
