Friends and Colleagues of late Coach Shaibu Amodu, a one time Super Eagles Coach\u00a0 have drawn up plans to\u00a0 commumerate the achievements of the late icon.<\/strong><\/div>\n

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Sadoh Yekini.<\/strong><\/div>\n
According to the statement, the event will be low key and will keep to government lockdown regulations.<\/strong><\/div>\n

“We the friends and colleagues of the late Coach Shuaibu Amodu MON,\u00a0 who\u00a0 died on June 11 2016, (4yrs ago), wish to create a memorial day for the football legend.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“To keep to the government lockdown regulations, we intend to maintain a modest program as follows;<\/strong><\/div>\n
(1). Jogging round the field by few friends.<\/strong><\/div>\n
(2). Muslim and Christian prayers for him.<\/strong><\/div>\n
(3). Good will messages.<\/strong><\/div>\n
(4). Selection of organising committees for the Shuaibu Amodu memorial National Under 15 football competition starting June 11, 2021.<\/strong><\/div>\n
We strongly appreciate your open heart and love.<\/strong><\/div>\n
“We are gathering at the Ikelebe Sports Arena at Auchi, Edo State at 4pm on this Thursday, June 11 to Kickstart the event. The statement added.<\/strong><\/div>\n

It would interest you to know that the late icon coached the Super Eagles more times than any other coach, having led the national team five times. <\/strong><\/div>\n
His first appointment was Super Eagles Coach in 2001 and guided the team to secure qualification for the 2002 World Cup.<\/strong><\/div>\n
