{"id":6167,"date":"2020-08-24T22:42:36","date_gmt":"2020-08-24T22:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=6167"},"modified":"2020-08-24T22:42:36","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T22:42:36","slug":"kdsg-seals-zango-lslamic-clinic-maternity-home-for-operating-without-licence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/?p=6167","title":{"rendered":"KDSG Seals\u00a0Zango lslamic Clinic\/\u00a0 Maternity Home for Operating Without Licence"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">KDSG Seals\u00a0Zango lslamic Clinic\/\u00a0 Maternity Home for Operating Without Licence<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Kaduna State Goverment has sealed off Zango lslamic Clinic and Maternity Home for operating without licence.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nA statement signed by\u00a0Cov\/ Adamu Yusuf,\u00a024\/08\/2020 states that,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Hospital located along Zango Road in Tudun Wada Kaduna South Local Goverment Area was sealed off by a team from the Ministry of Health, the State Health Establishment Committee and in collaboration with State\u00a0 Nursing and Midwifery Committee.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking to the media after the sealed off, the Director, Nursing and Midwifery, Kaduna State Ministry of Health, Salihatu Aminu, said there was an advert that went viral on the social media calling for application from interested applicants to be trained as Nurse and Traditional birth attendenant within a year. Her words:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Our attention was drawn to the advert on the 20th of August 2020 and on the 21st of August 2020 we went to the clinic and we did not find anything that look like a nursing training school rather a building being used as a\u00a0 clinic.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8221; Inside the clinic there is labour rooms, Theater room, male and female ward all which are substandard.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;The Staff we met on ground were unqualified and parading as Nurses and Doctors.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;we were left with no option than to seal off the premises&#8221;She said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6169\" src=\"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_20200824_2553-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_20200824_2553-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_20200824_2553-315x420.jpg 315w, https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_20200824_2553.jpg 337w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Salihatu Aminu warned the public to desist from patronising such illegal clinics that seem cheap in their thinking, because they lack the expartise and ethics and it is dangerous to their health and lives as this government is committed in ensuring that the citizens in the state have access to quality health care services.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The statement further revealed that<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Secretary National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Comrade Christiana Bawa said\u00a0 National headquarters of the Association drew the attention of Kaduna State Chapter to the advert, asking how can a training of three and Five years\u00a0 program can be completed in one year.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8221; We contacted the Ministry of Health and investigation revealed that there is nothing like a training school at the address on the advert but what they called a clinic.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8221; There are requirements for Establishment of a Nursing training school so we will ensure that the regulations are adhere to.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8221; We are here to save the lives of the Zango Communty that has been subjected to quacks treatment by the owners of the unregistered clinic&#8221;She said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Also, the Secretary, Private Health Establishment Aliyu Bala Shehu said the clinic breached the laid down rules and regulations.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He warned residents to desist from patronising unaccredited facilities\u00a0 because there are death houses that must be avoided.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KDSG Seals\u00a0Zango lslamic Clinic\/\u00a0 Maternity Home for Operating Without Licence Kaduna State Goverment has sealed off Zango lslamic Clinic and Maternity Home for operating without licence.
