Enugu State’s Government Reaffirms Commitment\u00a0to Ensure Full Implementation Of APPEALS Project<\/div>\n

The Enugu State Government\u00a0as part of its strategy to achieve the State Government\u2019s 8-point Agenda of boosting food production and job creation has\u00a0reaffirmed its commitment to ensure the full implementation of the APPEALS Project<\/div>\n

The State Deputy Governor and Chairman, State Steering\u00a0 Committee of the APPEALS Project in the State \u2013 Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo revealed this at the opening ceremony of the ongoing Pre-6th Implementation Support Mission ahead of the Project\u2019s Midterm Review by the World Bank in February, 2021.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Mrs Ezeilo said the APPEALS Project is designed to enhance agricultural productivity of small and medium-scale farmers and improve value addition along the State\u2019s priority value chains of Cashew, Poultry, and Rice.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
She appealed to the National Coordinating Office of the Project to assist the state to fast-track the implementation of the project as it\u2019s lagging behind compared to other participating states in the Project.<\/div>\n

In his presentation, the National Project Coordinator, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Jodi explained that the ongoing Pre-implementation Support Mission is to review implementation progress across all project components to ensure the project is on track to achieve its development objectives.<\/div>\n

In his vote of thanks, the State Project Coordinator, Enugu APPEALS \u2013 Mr. Christian Nwachukwu Odigbo thanked and appreciated the support of the state government on the implementation of the project in the state.<\/div>\n
