Zonal Caretaker Members Decry Non Inclusion In Party’s Activities<\/div>\n

The recently inaugurated All Progressive Congress (APC) Caretakers Committee members\u00a0\u00a0have raised concern over the way and manner the affairs of the party is being run.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari dated January, 25th, 2021, members of the Caretaker Committee have accused the Chairman of the committee, of lack of transparency in running the affairs of the committee particularly in the area of finance.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to the letter signed by the Secretary to the Chairman of the Committee, Lawal Ibrahim, the Caretakers members\u00a0since their inauguration six months ago,\u00a0have been caged as the Chairman and his boys have hijacked the mandate vested on them. This it said has grossly affected the progress of the party,<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The aggrieved members therefore, are by this letter seeking President Muhammadu Buhari’s\u00a0 intervention in order to save the party from extinction.<\/div>\n

The letter reads:<\/div>\n

My heart is bleeding as APC is dying<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“It is with heavy heart full of grief and fear I am writing this open letter to<\/div>\n
President Muhammadu Buhari, Leader of the A.P.C and all the A.P.C stakeholders.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“The selection of A.P.C National Caretaker\/ Extra-Ordinary Convention<\/div>\n
Planning Committee is not at all a mistake, because of their reputation,<\/div>\n
wealth of experience, track record of hard work, statesmanship, and the<\/div>\n
passion they all have for A.P.C.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Unfortunately the mandate vested on them is fraudulently hijacked by the<\/div>\n
chairman’s boys whom in the first instance are not qualify to spear head<\/div>\n
the re-organization of A.P.C as a party.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“This is responsible for the tactical sidelining of the entire 12 caretaker<\/div>\n
members within the last six months.<\/div>\n
This has prevented them from taking control of the activities of A.P.C<\/div>\n
Since inauguration and is continuously dragging the party into Jungle<\/div>\n
operation.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“THE CARETAKERS MEMBERS HAVE ALL BEEN CAGED FROM<\/div>\n
KNOWING HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MET AFTER THEIR<\/div>\n
INAUGURATION, HOW MUCH MONEY HAS BEEN COMING INTO<\/div>\n
THE PURSE OF THE PARTY AND WHO IS SPENDING THE MONEY<\/div>\n
ON THEIR BEHALF.<\/div>\n

“My investigation that lasted for 13weeks revealed to me that, Chairman’s<\/div>\n
boys have the full control of the party as none of the Caretaker Committee<\/div>\n
Members have idea on how the party is being managed or mismanage.<\/div>\n
That has caused serious mismanagement of funds, selling the registration exercise and refusing to debate issues of the exercise during Caretaker Members Meeting particularly on finance, registration committee, sub<\/div>\n
Committees and role of the caretaker committee members during and after<\/div>\n
the exercise.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

According to their demand,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“National chairman should stop taking<\/div>\n
external orders from his boys because he is over whelmed by gubernatorial<\/div>\n
duties.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Allow only the Caretaker Members to discuss, spend, organize and execute<\/div>\n
all activities of the party.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
All zonal Caretaker Members should be included in the activities of A.P.C.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

“President Muhammadu Buhari should as a matter of urgency invite the<\/div>\n
Caretaker Members for the first time to discuss on how best the A.P.C<\/div>\n
family can be reformed. It stated.<\/div>\n
